View Full Version : Misc panic attacks while you're sleeping?

just wondering if anyone knows if this is possible? i have never heard of it but i had a dream the other night that i cant remember to save my life... but i woke up at like 3 am sweating and almost crying.. i could remember parts of my dream when i woke up but forgot them the next morning... and it wasn't scary like ghosts and goblins but it involved friends... it was crazy... anyway i was stuck in the same position for almost two hours..it was a very odd night... just wondering what it could have been... the dream was sooooo real... scared the shit out of me...

maybe u should get that checked out, cat scan or something. ;)
ok seriously though, i think everbody has had dreams like that. my friend told me a similar one bout how his brother was screaming for him to help him but he didnt know where he was or how to get to him. he was saying how it felt so real also. i used to have so many dreams like that night after night, i seriously prayed that i didnt dream ne more. now u know its gotta be bad when u do that, no joke.

no it was more then that... i used to have very very bad dreams when i was growing up and it is very rare now that i have them... it was just odd and i have been so stressed out.... i almost felt like i went crazy in my dream and couldnt control it... so wierd...


*side note* i am not crazy... monkey balloon puff.. wha???

i actually have dreams like that pretty often. but mine always seem to relate back to some bad experiences and events in my life. i think they are pretty common though.

xterrachic - my friend had the saaaame exact thing happen to her several times and actually it is you having a panic attack during your dream. with her though, she was having difficulty catching her breath and felt paralyzed even when she woke up. I have anxiety/panic attacks as well, but Ive never had them in my sleep but I know that it IS possible.

yeah, she gets off on abusing me now, nightly i wake up with abuse and she is like oops, my bad :rolleyes: i'm like ouchie.... and have to try and go back to sleep.... sigh... in a few days i'll be nothing more than a bruise...
