i know plenty of people with a black FMIC. don't go overkill on it or nothin but a fresh coat of black will look good.

my tires have honestly bout 50% tread left. but no camber wear cuz i have a nifty S2 camber kit. (got lucky when i bought the car)

honestly it looks terrible. i would definitely paint the whole thing black. it won't affect the temperature drop much if at all, especially due to the size of that FMIC. My APS intercooler came powdercoated black, and it drops the charge temp very well.

like i said, with an intercooler that is that large, the drop in efficiency will not be enough to overcome the size. if it concerns you, just turn the intercooler around, or use some paint stripper to remove any paint.

If you're going to paint your intercooler, be sure to use a very light coat or you will be defeating the purpose of your aluminum fins. They are thin for a reason, and by adding paint, you are thickening the surface.

They make a special paint for radiators, and it's probably going to be your best bet if you're concerned with your intake air temperature.
