I'm in the market (actually seriously finally) and am looking at a larger Sedan to accommodate life.

Any complaints listed as owners of this model or type of vehicle? Please, if there is anything I should take note of please list in here.

Also, it does not matter to me whether its auto or manual. I'm looking for pure information, any and all will help. And to add, I'm not a cheap low-ballin muthafuka either. I believe THIS price is to high for the link listed, but if it isnt, it isnt and I dont mind. My cap is roughly 8.5k but I can always push to 9.5k.

If, however, there is a price range I should look for please lmk and any personal information about the habits of the motor at higher mileage (as I'ma honda guy and really dont care for miles on motor) and what to shy away from.

that maxima is a beaut. you should def pick it up. if you look around hard enough, you can pick a 2002-2003 maxima (5.5 generation) up for the 6-9 price range with decent miles.

there are plenty of aftermarket parts available, and when you get it you will not be disappointed.

the only complaints i know of with that year maxima is burning oil..but it varies from car to car..you'll have one guy burning a quart every 1k miles and another burning 1 quart every 3-4k miles..

if you need any other help lemme know and i'll be more than happy to assist.

My friend has a 97 with 320,000 miles on it. Hasn't had a major problem yet and still runs strong. I would say get a 2003 since it has the VQ35, but Sammich says that the 02-03 burn oil. The VQ30 is still a strong motor and will last a while.
