I just did a motor swap in my civic.and it wont rev past 2k.ive tried 2 different ECUs and am clueless.Any ideas as to what the problem is?

i went from a b16 to an ls-vtec and the check engine light is on.

the check engine light is on.so u going to say what the code is

Report back with the check engine codes. You probably just swapped up some of the plugs.

i went and messed with it earlier and the light isnt on anymore.i double checked everything and i can drive it but it just wont pass 2k.it acts like it is hitting the rev limiter.

Mine was the DIZZY ie code I think it though was crank angle

yeah my friend figured that it could be a problem with the dizzy.what did you to to fix it?

I would be willing to bet that is YOUR problem.
Get a known good dizzy and try it.

check the speed sensor as well...if its bad then it will act the same way.

and post the CEL code #'s

i had the same problem it was my distributor. does it randomly shut of when ur goin down the road?
