I am not responsible for your screw ups

Items needed:
-clear bumper lights(i got new ones)
-orange transparent vinyl(pic and website below)
-sissors
-hair blow dryer
-razor
-credit card

heres the lights

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/img.jpg

here is the vinyl (http://cgi.ebay.com/Orange-Transparent-Vinyl-with-adhesive-6-x-10-feet_W0QQitemZ110015747493QQihZ001QQcategoryZ46741 QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem)

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/b7_1_b.jpg

the blow dryer

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/DSC06838.jpg

First: get one light then cut a piece a little bigger then the light, like below

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/DSC06835.jpg

Second: stick the vinyl on the light and make sure you dont have and air bubbles under the vinyl, i used a credit card when i was putting the vinyl on

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/DSC06836.jpg

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/DSC06837.jpg

Third: start at the top and push the vinyl down so i wll stick on the edge

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/DSC06839.jpg

Fourth: turn the blow dryer on and point it where you just rounded the corner, and the the vinyl will start to melt and take shape of the corner and the edge, complete this on all sides

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/DSC06841.jpg

and if you have trouble with the corners this is my corners looked like at first

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/DSC06840.jpg

Fifth: just comtinue to heat the side untill your satsified, this is what mine looked like

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/DSC06845.jpg

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/DSC06846.jpg

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/DSC06842.jpg

Sixth: for the lights with the screw holes, just take a razor and make a + in the hole

Seventh: after you made the cross just push the four corners down with the razor and blow dry in the hole, and this is what i got

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/DSC06844.jpg

and the finished product

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/DSC06847.jpg

on the car

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/1-1.jpg

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff267/bb4pimp/4-1.jpg

You can also add more layers of the vinyl if you want them to be darker

But they are pretty close to perfectly the same color as the OEM ones with one layer

If you have and questions feel free to ask me, and if you are scared to do this on your own i can do it for a price, pm me if you them done by me

SO GOOD LUCK AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK OF THE DIY

Those came out pretty nice. You can also use Tamiya clear orange model paint. I believe it's TS72.

thanks for the comments, and this is how i saved 50 bucks lol

oh and about the paint mentioned up top, i tried paint a set but they faded after a while so i wouldn't do it, and plus the vinly adds protection to your lights for rocks and stuff like that

I've got the paint on my corners and it LIGHTLY faded. It wasn't the color so much as the shine. But I've still got half a car if I need to touch up.

yeah i do have vinly left, and i recommend the vinly instead of the paint because the vinly protects the light from rock chips and stuff like that and the vinyl dosnt fade

But good right up! oh, and what front lip do you have? hiro?
