can anyone tell me if i can run these pistons using a stock b16 head? (PR3)
i know my compression will be at 12:5...would i need cams, valves and springs etc. to run compression that high??
reps for some help

you would need bigger cams to bleed off some of the compression

Will run hard but you wont have too much reliability until its tuned. Also if you decide to go with aftermarket cams might run into clearance issues.Unlike aftermarket pistons that have valve relief oem ctrs dont have as much as say Wiesco. But alot of people say claying the motor will let you determine that.

how bad you think it will affect reliability?

Dude
Goto a online compression ratio calculator and use that to make your decision. *shakes head*

Do a little real research first. Here is a list of compression ratios of common honda block/head/piston combinations.

Your combination would put you just under 12.0:1.

clearences should be fine using p30 pistons with th b16 head. and as far as valvetrain..just dont turn over 8 grand. but u will want new rod bolts. the itr's wont fit on ls rods.

This is the truth ... my home boy had similar set but gsr head and it pulled hard as hell but was "ghetto" tuned according to him and did have reliability issues.
