ok so i realize that i'm sure this has been answered somewhere and i don't need smart ass advice, so that being said here we go.

i'm looking @ getting a dvd burner simply for the fact that i have a ton of anime/movies on my computer and i need to free up some space. i don't need to have the super bestest thing ever, but what i really needed to know was... what kind of stuff will i need to start? any extra programs or maybe computer stuff i need other than the burner and install disc?
thanks in advance +30 for all who help

DVD flick is an easy software to burn playable movie DVDs. You should try that.

For around the same price you can get a large external harddrive. You could send all the movies to there and free up your space. Just another option.

I would have to agree that an external HDD may be the way to go, especially if you usually watch the movies on the computer itself. www.newegg.com and www.tigerdirect.com usually have pretty good pricing on computer peripherals.

Yep, they both always have good deals. www.woot.com (http://www.woot.com) also.

Here is a 1TB HDD for $109 shipped. You can get a 500GB for around $80-$90 shipped.
