A few of us were going to Cedar Point in August if anyone is interested in going. It has the best roller coasters of any amusement park (in theory) so we were planning a trip out there. I know it has at least 4 of the top roller coasters in the world and it still has the most roller coasters at one park (17).

For those who don't know, the park is in Ohio.

Rides List:

Park Info:

http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/admission/prices/index.cfm

Cedar Point Funday - $43.99
Ages 3-61, 48" and taller. Valid any public operating day of the 2009 season (including HalloWeekends).

Ride & Slide 2-Day - $73.99 << What we'll be doing
Ages 3-61, 48" and taller. Ride & Slide Ticket will admit one guest to both Cedar Point and Soak City for any two regular season days. Valid any public operating day of the 2009 season (including HalloWeekends).

August 15th, Saturday Hours: 10am-11pm
August 16th, Sunday Hours: 10am-10pm

Guests of Exceptional Size:
All passenger restraint systems, including lap bars, shoulder harnesses and seatbelts, must be positioned, fastened and tightened to allow guests to ride.

Due to rider restraint system requirements, guests of exceptional size may not be accommodated on some of our rides. This may apply, but not be limited to, males who exceed 6'2", and those who exceed 225 pounds, have a 40" waistline or 52" chest or females who exceed 200 pounds or wear size 18 or larger. Each person has different body proportions, so it is impossible to determine exact size and weight.

Guests who have ridden Millennium Force in the past may no longer meet the requirements of the current rider restraint system.
-----------------------------------------------------------

You'll have to decide when you want to come. We're going to the park August 15th & 16th since it takes 2 days to do the whole park (from what we've heard). So, you're in charge of your own accommodations (unless you can room with someone else that's going - just get in contact with them). Friday (14th) & Monday (17th) are assumed travel days for people so ignore the times. We'll probably be exploring Cleveland while we're at it, which might include clubbing. Also I recommend you bring a bathing suit in case we do hit the water park since it's included with the ticket price anyways.

Hotels:
http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/clebr-renaissance-cleveland-hotel/
Renaissance Cleveland
24 Public Square
Cleveland, OH 44113

4 of us will be staying at the Renaissance in Cleveland. There are hotels that are like 1 and 2 stars that are the same price right outside Cedar Point but they didn't have amazing reviews. Use priceline or one of the discounter sites if you plan to make reservations so you aren't paying normal price.

http://www.wyndham.com/hotels/CLEPS/main.wnt
Wyndham Cleveland
1260 Euclid Avenue
Cleveland, Ohio 44115

Daryl has a discount code or something for Wyndham where he is staying. I'm not sure if it's exclusive to him or not but it's an idea.

My number for those interested in coming with us: 706.614.1514

Should come imo. ; D There should be plenty of crash space between the 3 rooms we'll have. More if others decide they want to join us. Still waiting to find out what kind of deals Chelsea's friend can get us on rooms.

Yea I've been there 5 times when I used to live in MI, That millennium force is NO JOKE! 90 mph, 80 degree drop and 310 feet. Rode that back to back 3 times in a row! haha! Higher than the statue of liberty! def worth the trip. As for me, out of funds.

Man. I would go, but I am spending most of my money to attend the Team Integra Dragon Run/Deals Gap. Plus the fact that this is the weekend right before college starts.

But very informative thread!

For those that don't know, the DSM shootout is that weekend in Norwalk, Ohio and at the Summit Raceway... I think less that 30 minutes from Sandusky. I will be at the shootout this year again... I went to Cedar Point last year when I was there for the shootout and it was sick! You have to ride the Top Thrill Dragster... it is nasty! :bump:
