Body roll, FTL!

I have alot of body roll even though I have front and rear strut bars and coil overs. What is the problem?

first step in getting rid of body roll is to invest in top notch quality full dampers or shocks and springs. the average "coilover" kit and oem shocks wont cut it, if anything is going to make a difference.. its that

Invest in sway bars. If you have to buy them might as well go aftermarket instead of OEM, unless you can find the 22mm Civic Type-R rear setup. The SI is only 13mm, you don't want that. ASR makes a 24mm rear sway bar for the '96-00 Civic for $170 (ASR-EK-24S-01) or you can get the 32mm for $440 (ASR-EK-SU-25)...talk about some serious oversteer lolol!! I'd suggest the complete subframe kits though, well worth the investment.


Here's the best resource I've seen on "EK" sway bar setups and what OEM parts are compatible but i'd still suggest aftermarket:

As a few have said before strut bars have nothing to do with side to side movement aka body roll. To attack roll you want to attack the sway bars. When you get bars make sure you do your research because they can also change handling characteristics such as oversteer and understeer. So research the setups out there and go with what looks best to your driving preferences. When looking at sway bars don't forget to upgrade your endlinks as well, they will give you the most out of the bar and handle the extra strength. After sways you feel your roll is still to much for your likings you'll need to look deeper into shock/spring/coilover setup. Good luck!

So you can safely upgrade to thicker sway bars as long as you include stronger end-links and reinforce the sway bar to the subframe of the car somehow?
