Hey pickle smoocher. THATS WITH A NEW CONTRACT without one its gunna cost a shit ton more hence the STARTING AT $99. SO before you go in someones thread saying anything do your research. MOST want the phone to jailbreak it and use it on a different carrier. So to buy it from apple requires opening an account closing it then spending over my asking price by far. Even look on ebay for what there going for CLOSE TO $600. All i have to say to you is get fucked prick. If YOUR poor ass cant afford the phone move the fuck on and dont put worthless shit in my thread fuckass. - reps your way dick tickler Oh and i see your trying to trade your blackberry for an iphone 3g or sell it for $450 but oh you can buy it new from tmobile for $150 with a contract or $499 without one. Seems like the same concept as my forsale thread. The big difference is im not an ass hole that post up shit in peoples threads about other prices. But now that youre proven wrong in more ways then one i think you should go die in a fire. :2up:
Did my own research through AT&T and apple. The price of the 8 gig is $499 without a contract and $599 for a 16gig without a contract. if you try and "cheat the system" by opening a new contract then immedietly close it, its more money to open the account then close it just to get the phone about $50-$100 more, plus they do a credit check as well. Not sure if it could effect your credit or not by opening it then closing it right after but i know it does when you do that with credit cards.
So with that being said i think my phone is reasonably priced. Dont like it move on. Dont need your bullshit in my thread.

:2up: Did my own research on the prices from Apple and AT&T. Looks like my price beats theirs by far for someone not wanting to open a new account. See previous post.

I'm not knocking your for sale thread.
I think that what obear was getting at is that since apple/at&t has lowered the price on the iphones, that the used market will probably have to adjust accordingly.
Example: AT&T 3G iphones were selling for $200 down (with 2-year contract). Used iphones were going for ~$200+ more than that...which is roughly the price of breaking a contract with AT&T
So now the 2-year contract iphones are going for $100 (to undercut the Palm Pre, I bet), so the used market prices will probably have to drop because 2-year iphone + breaking contract is going to be ~$300+ ($100 iphone + ~$200 contract penalty.
It wouldn't make sense to buy a used iphone for $400 if you get get a new one with a contract break for less. The only exception would be if someone was forced to pay a $500 deposit when they signed up (which would make a used $400-$500 iphone cheaper for them overall)
Maybe I'm wrong?

You are wrong thats for the 8 gig im selling a 16 gig the price of the phone is STARTING AT $99 STARTING AT IS THE KEY WORD dosent mean when you get there its gunna be $99 unless you are going to be opening a new line or are available for an upgrade through at&t.

I'm not trying to start an argument. Just trying to get what what obear was saying. Ebay is fine, but if you check craigslist then you'll see a flood of iphones up for sale in the past 2 days at pricing closer to the scenario i mentioned.
The announcement has had an effect on the market already.

it would be $350+ for an 8 gig if you were to break the contract. PRICE DROP $350 FOR A 16 GIG
