im wondering is there a cheaper way to put an ls swap in my ef, i think its insane for hasport mounts 399 and shift linkage 140, and is there any mods i need to do to get the engine to fit. ive done a swap in a ek but the ef engine bay looks kinda small

Buy 99-00 si rear mounts, and just mod your shift linkage that you have... cost=$45.00ish...

^^Sorry but wrong.

You gotta use DA rear tranny bracket and shorten the DA shift linkage. Stock EF sohc linkage will not work.
Just get you some eBay mounts or find some used. HaSport is nice but expenive as fuck. The only real "mod" is clearancing the drivers frame rail for the alternator pulley.

use Innovative steel mounts if you want to go cheaper on the mounts. Anything cheaper than that is not worth buying.

You need to dent the frame rail for alternator clearance on the driver's side, you also need to bang the lip down on the rear crossmember for the rear mount bracket to clear, and remove the front mount flanges from the front crossmember. There are a thousand B16 CRX swap guides on the internet, installing a B18 is no different.

There are a thousand B16 CRX swap guides on the internet, installing a B18 is no different.Goood thing you told me that I bout Innovative and only thing I did was beat up the subframe to clear alternator dont even know if its the right spot.:lmfao: and guess I gotta take crossmember off to get welded so the headers fit.On my black hatch they did a b18 swap back before mounts were made and they cut the mount spot on the frame and moved it forward.So they could use stock Da mounts and back mount and side mount.
