Here it is, 1970 model L20b with 280z dished pistons, w58 head, down draft weber carb I was told was pulled off some kind of ferrari, not sure about that though. It has a roadster 5-speed that grinds alot. Here are some picture.

It runs like a champ, yes it's sexy, I plan to drive the shit outa it, and it will be at the next meet unless something unfortunate happens.

Next on the list is to upgrade to 280 brakes in the front maybe maximas in the rear. and bushings too. Then ever so slowly make it look better.

So I was installing some poly-urethane bushings yesterday in the process I ruined one of my balljoints, no biggie I order some new ones. So this morning after I pick them up and try to install them I realize they're to big. I go back to the store and these balljoints only work with the replacement steering arm that is no longer avilable. Awesome. Napa can get some OE ones but not till wed or thurs, so it will sit on jack stands until then.

I need some L-series input, I posted this on the realm with no response so here it goes. So i got a L20b from garage zero and my first idea was to put some flat top 280 pistons, and run the whole High compression thing. but on a more reliable note I do have a set of stock l20 pistons. the top end will be a ported w58 head and a cam. Stock bottom end equals less money, but the high compression build would sound unbelievably badass.

so what does IA think? High compression(there will be ARP head studs if this is the road traveled), or stock bottom end?

I don't know alot about L20's. I would start with the easy stuff like a nice cam should get you good power, and header and exhaust should help too. What kind of carburetor you running?

U shoulda seen the looks i got when i was towing the Starlet i bought last weekend, they were laffin their ass off and im not joking!!
Imagine 86 sr5 coupe all stock pulling car on tow dolly. Them mofos have no idea that there's a built engine inside with 45mm webers. It's all stock on outside with steelies but not for long and the paint is faded, passenger fender is from another car a few shades darker lol. Dont look like it has anything til they were to see the Autometer gauge but i have 2 more gauges that i need to put in there and those would make it dead giveaway. Im not gonna post pics til i get all the body kit parts and am ready to take it to the paint shop.

I found out the other day that there is a slow leak in the front part of my braking system. I put fluid in if still no pedal pressure, so I figure I better bleed my brakes. I get all set up to bleed the brakes, which I have never done before. turns out my passenger side bleeder screw is stripped. I guess its a sign to upgrade to some 280z brakes.
