ok so i was thinking to myself tonight.

its called import atlanta but not everyone on here drives an import.

ive seen threads about whats your favorite car or what kind of car do you drive but its way to broad for me to really care.

i was just wondering what the ratio is on here of import owners to domestic owners.

if you own one of both choose the one you work on the most. Not your DD unless that is all you have.

if you have a project car that is your main attention taker. use that one.

no need to specify exactly what kind of car it is unless you really want to.

Like stated above, both have their strong points, and weak points.
Like most domestic cars, ie. mustangs you have to deal with one of the worst designed awful interiors ever, but on most sport compacts you have FWD, and it is a bit of a set back. Also the paint on most mid 90's and 00's domestics have terrible paint which will just freaking flake off the car. I've had to pressure wash off and scrape off the paint off a couple of mustangs at the shop, apparently the factory E-coat and the paint itself don't quite agree with one another.
My 92 honda civic interior>2004 ford mustang interior. Which in the end is quite sad.
I dunno, I want a 240z with a big nasty all motor efi chevy motor in it. But i'm voting import.

I love a good import for a beater like mine, and then the ones with cheap potential, but a viper, c5/c6, and some of the newer domestics are pretty hot!

I HATE all fords though. ESPECIALLY Mustakes! lol

You should buy a Ford, at least they didn't take the bailout money, besides, most American manufactuers outsource to Mexico. The Nissan Titan is more domestic these days than an f-150 or a GMC truck

I like imports better because it's newer ground. There's less aftermarket support, first hand parts knowledge, etc etc. Plus you never really see too many imports especially in this area able to perform on the same level as domestics. I guess it's an underdog thing. It's always amusing to see the crowd's reaction to an import beating out the domestics.

I don't dislike domestics though, I do have pride in this country ;)

Import has a swagger that domestic doesn't have, because it's newer. I prefer import sports cars, but there are domestic counterparts that are just as good. Aside from the Z06, I'd say imports take the light...

I have so far owned a Civic and two Camaros both V6. I enjoyed both import and domestic, but very few domestics grab my attention though. As of now the new Focus RS, Challenger, 2011 Mustangs, SHO, and Vettes are all that I am impressed with. Japanese markets especially have better looking and good performance for average cars, unlike most American vehicles.
