Only reason I bought mine was GOW3 (and RE5, but then the motherfuckers released it on 360 as well :2up: )

I got the Big Boss extreme medal on there. Took like 3 days. :crazy:

Ok....i still have to figure how to use the network. I'll admit the online play on GT5P is horrible.

Gotta try the other stuff though.

To be honest, the Forza 3 trailer impressed me more. And, I don't even have an Xbox lol, sticking with my ps3.

lol... for a Polyphony Digital release, take their expected release date, then add a year to it. After that, tack on a few more weeks.. then you'll be in the ballpark.

just finished watching the press conference and I will be getting a PS3 in the next few days. I just hate that there taking so long to release it. I know all the online stuff there doing is crazy so it better be worth the wait.

Its gonna be amazing.. BUT.. when it comes down to it. The future is in forza, when you play a game, especially a game online. CUSTOMIZATION is KEY, everyone wants to set themselves apart. Racing teams/tuners/painters i WAS a GT freak, but after playing 4, i said im done. And cant take GT anymore..and i started forza and dont plan on going back. Id like to own both honestly. but im not gonna make a huge effort to have GT5.

I hope its worth the wait.. this will be Ps3's last hope..lol

All the customization you speak of is still a possibilty for GT5. It might be one of the things they reveal in the future.

With Damage, Day/Night racing, Weather, more cars than Forza, better graphics, GT is just a better game.

Like i said many times before, I had Forza and hated it. That's just me though but for the most part, i find many people feel the same way. Forzas had a long time to make fans but all these fans have to compare is a game that came out on the PS2 and a demo on the Ps3. Those won't stack up to GT5.

GT5 had seriously better step up because a game of this calibur is going to have to do more than just look nice.

I don't know man. GT3 is where the series really went ahead of NFS and all the other wannabe games.

I guess i'm just a GT diehard as i play 3-5P all the time. If i still had my PS1, i'd prolly throw GT2 in there as well.

But Ran, you also got to remember, many of the racing series i follow were introduced to me through GT3 and GT3 so in that sense, the series is always fresh.

day/night racing, isnt ground breaking..and isnt all that great.. its nice but nothing great.

Weather sucks..i hated racing in the rain on GT.

Gt5 is "SUPPOSED" to have 1000 cars, but on the disc itself there will be 340..and the rest will be from the PSN..

GT is a great game always have been and will be, BUt the truth is.. its boring. Fun at first but as time goes on, and you keep racing. It starts to be pointless..and than you ask yourself why am i playing to buy a bunch of stock cars that when iput 150k into it will still look like the rest of the cars in the lineup.

i have played both forza and GT, like many others, but i still prefer GT. looked at both trailers, the one for forza and the one for GT and i was not impressed at all with the forza one, the graphics are not impressive, all they really showed was one race and what have you. it was boring. im sure it will have its good moments, but GT is still a way better game.

why fix a game that has been around for almost a decade? 'if it aint broke, dont fix it'

That's a HUGE "might". I wouldn't even begin to count on it...

In GT5, you're gonna get pretty graphics and a lot of cars. Nothing more, nothing less.


And for the people talking about how great GT5's graphics are -- If all you're concerned about in a game is graphics, then you're not much of a gamer. Graphics should be the least of your worries. Functionality is key. I'll make my decision when I get the game(s).
