Need a decent camera for the business to take before and after pictures of vehicles/bikes. Been using my cell phone but it just a simple 5mp camera. Dont want something extremely expensive just something that works good and takes good photos!

Also before anyone says theres threads like this every week. I am not looking for something to take pro shots with or to start a hobby, just need something that takes great still pictures, and i dont have to interchange lenses all the time!

Thanks

How much detail do you want to capture? Anything will be better than a cell phone camera, but usually the cameras with larger lenses will do a better job with taking sharp(er) images.

Just decide how much you want to spend then go to a best buy or fry's and pick one out?

For what you are doing, you might want to steer towards a camera that uses AA batteries so that you can replace them quickly if needed (instead of having to mess with a charger)

Tough choice. The Nikon has a better zoom lens, but the Canon is one stop faster. I'd go with the Nikon in this case, since the lens is wider and longer.

For what you are doing (pictures of cars, right?) You probably wouldn't even notice the difference 95% of the time.

see thats the thing, i wont be taking pictures of cars from afare. its for a detailing business, so it needs to be sharp enough to be able to take a picture of sections of the car a foot or so back and he able to catch blemishes in the paint when you have sunlight hitting it!

see again, if all cameras where the same they would all look the same, price the same, and take the same shots so they dont. hell whats the point in spending $300 on a camera when a $200 one does the same, might be better and be better for waht i want. hince why i posted up some i found!

would not recommend that company. just got off the phone with them cancelling my order. sales people are dicks, they site shows shit they have in stock, when really its on backorder, plus they get real aggresive with trying to sell you added shit!
