well i still have this stupid spark problem that i stated in the other thread. this is a picture of the clip going into the ignition coil from the harness. the question is, what are these wires? im sure one is power of course, but im not sure which one it is. and what would the other be? thanks!

i read your thread.. Did u check the ground wires to the ignitor? there is a bolt that grounds the disty/ignition everything, right next to the distributor. It may be loose, or stripped out, if you have taken it out. And the car wont start without it, or if it maybe loose. i found that out the hard way..

i posted in your thread on Cp.. i have an ignitor on my harness from my protege, sittin in the garage. That you can try out if you need before you buy one.. But they arent too much from the pullapart, and i do believe they are all the same between the bf/bg..

im double posting but oh well. lol

i looked in the haynes manual for the 1990 protege and it says the yellow/blue wire is coming from the igniter in the dizzy. so maybe possible i could just need a new igniter.

but its $284.99 before tax!
