To preface, this is NOT a thread/question about how the clubs of today suck compared to yesterday, but more of a question about loyalty and how it works in clubs of now.

I notice all these "fly-by-night" clubs coming through that seem more ridiculous than a Shaq in a limbo contest and then I see the members of them seeming to have a good time. That's all well and good, I suppose, but then I see multiple members with multiple clubs that they are representing. I don't get that. There are several who have 4 and 5 clubs that they "represent" in their signatures.

What ever happened to just 1 club? Why even join one of these clubs if you're going to be a member of several? And on top of that, why even have all these clubs if everyone is going to be members of all of them anyway? Would it not be easier, and less congestive on the forums, if there were just 1 club and everyone was a member of it?

Remember this isn't a bash over it being a question of not understanding. Later, QD.

i see exactly what you are saying. clubs popping up here and there. thought when a person joins a club they should be loyal to that one club, instead of treating it like a credit card and joining every store possible...but to each there own i guess, im happy with my squad =]

If i was ever in a club id want it to run like a motorcycle club does, requirements, a certain style, and loyalty within it. It goes wrong when people make friends with someones car instead of the person. Some people have amazing cars, but are either weirdos, or assholes.

Car Clubs are cute. That's just about it.

I started Team Velo (short for Velocity) when I was in the Air Force... we'd never call ourself a "club" -- we were a team - and we drag raced. PERIOD. We voted in people... not cars. Our main rival "Team Rush" in Columbia, SC were DEFINITELY faster than we were --- hands down. BUT definitely we had the better people than they did... who cares if your car is fast if you're a dick? You can always make a car faster - but a dick is alaways a dick. I will be putting another team together this year... but def not a fan of "car clubs".

I am part of O.S.E from So Cal. I know a couple of the Drag On guys from there and like maybe one or two 935 wicked dragger guys. However this crew a more of family. Thats the way I feel a team or "club" should be. Yea there are rivalries and such which makes the racing world that much funnier. So as far as my take on it, I don't beleive in clubs, I do however beleive in guys that become close and make team that is more of a family.

I'm affiliated with multiple clubs because I'm friends with the members. Some live down south, some live out of state. Some I don't get to talk to much and some I talk to everyday. I'm really only in 2 clubs. And the rest I'm affiliated with. Nothing wrong or no harm in that. The CFK-foundation is the non profit organization, I co-founded. It's for charity events. I'm co-founder of the Goon Squad. Which is my MAIN club/team/family. Then team double R is for the racing side. It's a team. Drag, circuit, circle. doesn't matter. the other ones, I'm just a honorary member(so to speak). So, with all these teams/clubs in my sig, I'm just showing support for them. What's the issue with that?? No one gets hurt.

Did I say anything about anyone getting hurt? Don't get your fucking shit knotted up, man. I asked a question. No one should have gotten hurt with that. But it seems someone did.

I do wonder, though, since you decided to chime in the way you did...how exactly are YOU "affiliated" with the All Stars?

Later, QD.

I put my club in my sig because I founded it and it is the best thing that ever happened to ImportAtlanta. Plus it's funny to see dumb fucks think that we're serious. My fake club is better than your real club.

I personally would think that car "teams" would be somewhat better than car clubs. Because in my head, when I envision a 'team', i picture a group of friends who are all interested in the same types of cars and all know how to work together on them well, somewhat like a group of friends 'pit crew', or something like that... To me, a car club is just a large amount of people to go to meets with lol, you could even dare to call importatlanta a giant "car club" i guess.

The club I cofounded is the only club I will run with.We have been together nearly 15 years and the way clubs are are way different now. All of the original members are and will always considered to be down with us whenever. We are like family, we all drive different types of vehicles, and don't care what type of vehicle you drive if you wanna roll as long as it is custom, and we think you as a person will fit well with with the rest of us. We have the same common goal, to hang out with like minded people and have fun with our rides.

To QD, I don't know it is quite odd now that I think about it. Maybe 2 clubs tops, maybe 3.

4 or 5? I doubt you are even donating valuable time since its so spread out. Its usually best to specialize. Then again, the people in 4 or 5 clubs usually have parts from 4 or 5 cars :D .

I cannot lie, I love what you have done with the old school JDM crew. Its specific and very different around here. I swear I've thought about getting something so I could belong :D especially seeing them all parked together at the IA meet at the Dome.

You misread the initial post, didn't you?

Plus it's funny to see dumb fucks think that we're serious.

You must send me a list of the people that took you serious. I've got some flaming to do.

I meant that as a general statement to any one of the people (who is the thread is about) who may have read my post.

And the biggest person to fall for it was Maniac. Read his first post in the "club" thread, it's really funny.

Okay, I may have came off in the rude way. Definitely was not intended. I was just asking a question, as you did. I never get riled up over the internet. I would really hope you didn't. I've never had an issue with you, nor really an issue with anyone on this forum. We've chatted here and there. Lets keep the good vibe between us. My affiliation with the All-stars comes from Bucky. Hanging with Alex, Pete, Nico, Tony, Tom...etc.. But mainly, Bucky, Pete, and Tony. Like I said in my first post. I support teams that my friends are apart of and that I'm affiliated with. I hope this answers your question. If there's something else you need or would like to know, just hit me up. Like I said before, No hard feelings and I hope you have none either.

Of course no hard feelings. And I understand what you're saying about your "list." I guess I'm just old school in more ways than one. Back in the day, everyone supported every club, but we only represented one. I've never seen an All Star represent anyone but All Star, X-Rated represent anyone but X-Rated, you see? That's where I was coming at. Everyone was friends and supported everyone else. They just throw it out there like it's done today. Later, QD.

No doubt. I feel ya. But me, I haven't yet received my "actual membership to the All-Stars," and so, now I just support them at a few shows and meets. With the Teams or Clubs in my sig, I guess it could be considered, advertisement.(so to speak). And you're right about just reppin one club/team. But also spreading the word about others. If and when I'm a full All-Star member, I will only rep that ONE. But I'll still support these other ones. As of now, I'm just apart of some internet teams/clubs, that my friends came up with, or I came up with. I like to think of it as loading down the side of my car with manufactures stickers..lolol.
