Ok heres the deal, I woke up the morning and my bike was gone out of my driveway. It's a red/black 98 gsxr 600 srad.......has a new yoshi pipe on it, also has side mounted turn signals stuck to the rear fairing......gunmetal solo cover.....PLEASE KEEP AN EYE OUT!! THIS IS MY VERY FIRST BIKE AND I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO GET IT BACK. I know the chances of it being found are slim but i figured if enough eyes and ears are to the ground someone might hear or see something.

By the way the bike was in Byron Ga which is near Macon/Warner Robins.

What a great day.....I wake up expecting to go ride around and get slapped in the face.......best part is its the day after my bday.......and i JUST had a new exhaust put on it...................DAMNIT

man, if you had full coverage on it....dont bother looking for it, and go ahead and call your insurance co......make sure to find reciepts on all aftermarket parts for it.....

and never leave your bike outside unless it's secured somehow, disc lock, chain and lock....

Eh, I'm sure it'll be found on it's side on some street, with the theif about 100yds further busted up. Thats one reason I'm afraid to get a bike.... too damn easy to steal.

probably not....it's a GSXR.....very common bike, it was etheir completely stripped down and parted out, or it's gonna be floating around on the racing circuit because alot of those cheap "racing" bikes that are posted are usually stolen, because you dont have to have title to sell racebikes.

Happened to me with my yzf600, but out my garage while i went in for like 15 minutes. Worse feeling in the world. I had no insurance, my dumb ass fault! Sorry to hear that

UnEEk4DR
03-24-2005, 02:12 PM
i only had liability on it............whats wierd are the coincidences.........the two guys asking about it yesterday that were selling the papa johns stuff........and the guy who originally owned it in macon saying he found a spare key for it and asked for my addy (which i didnt give him this one) and then never hearing from him again......it just sucks man.......all these thoughts are bouncing around in my head. And we are pretty sure home owners wont cover it since it wasnt in a garage or anything just parked in the driveway. FUCKIN BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cliff
03-24-2005, 02:17 PM
ummmm how hard is it to tell homeowners it was in your garage and the guys came in your garage and got it?

well...you kno just file a police report...i would also suggest to tell all the bikers in ya area to look out for it, ask them to see if anyone is just sellin random parts for a bike like yours, or braggin about shit etc...you know...just give em the 411 and tell em to hit ya back...my friend got his car stolen, told all tha people who owned imports...and we ran across someone racing it at our spot and blocked tha dude in and handled it...so theres a chance it can work for you...but again my condolences...i know its always a bad feeling to lose somethin you put money into and had a passion for

i dont have a garage lol.........if i did i would.....and DAMNIT i wonder if being in the fenced in backyard would work. we have a privacy fence thats like 6-7ft tall....if they dont find it (which im sure they wont) im gettin another bike within 2 months. i wanna go drive around tonight and tomorrow and see if i see it out......and if i run into some people let them know whats goin on. I posted it on a gsxr message board for the local area and let them know to keep an eye out

well they were selling coupons........but still even if they are legit it still seems so convenient that they were here last night talking to me about it and today its gone.....i mean....i dunno......when its in the driveway parked where i keep it you cant see it from the road cuz the 2 cars block it in

It sucks bad having shit stolen esp. after you work your ass of for it... I know the feeling.. My boyfriend's got a bike too His is an 05' R6, and someone came by around 2:30 last night in a truck looking at it... Fortunately, we were outside so they didn't steal it, but I would have been even more pissed if something else was stolen this week! Good luck on getting it back...

That sucks man... gotta have more than liability if you've got that much cash in a bike but that's what you learn...

I doubt that Joshua, who I think you got the bike from, would ever give soeone a key to it so they could steal it... from my understandings he's a good guy and was nice to you about the purchase I thought.

two guys can easily steal a bike, especially if they know what they are doing. And no offense to you but Macon's got some damn thugs...if someone say it in their driveway I am sure they planned on when to steal it.

hey man, i just showed my homegirl your bike, she was tellin all about it sayin that color only comes in 05 yadda yadda yadda, said it was real nice and she could tell it was a older model cause of teh tail end ( all this is foreign talk to me) she said she'll defintly be able to notice it if its down here, she printed da pic out and is gon show it to our other friends who owns bikes and stuff...so if its down here in Columbus...i'll let ya know mayne

All i can say is for the next bike, make sure you lock it up! I know that my first bike was stolen partially because of my carelessness. I didnt have the steering wheel locked and my garage door was up. I Just came in from riding. Just went in to make a phone call, something to drink. Come out a little bit later, sumbitch was gone. I found it was some little kids in my neighbohood too. I wasnt about to go back and shoot some kids over a bike.

When I had my aprilia, I would always get home like at 5AM so I would park it right in front of my sisters car with the steering wheel locked. So someone would have to be bold as hell. Plus there is a big window inside of my door and daylight would break a couple hours later. So someone would have to be bold as shit to take my bike. Most people just pick them up and throw them in the back of a flatbed with a mattress in it,

quit whining and listen to these people
get a police report.
tell the police the papa johns people were asking lots of questions about the bike, then the next morning its gone, they'll go question the papa johns people.

wtf do you think i did? cut my losses and said oh well? im doing everything i can to get the thing back.

and rut i didnt buy my bike from a guy named josh.....i got it from my friend mike. the guy the bike originally came from in macon told me he had a spare to it and ive never heard from him or seen him since the day he asked for my address. not accusing him......just wierd for someone to ask for my addy to send me the spare key the just happen to have........anyways its gone doesnt matter, we are thinking home owners insurance might cover it.....if not im getting a new bike in the next 1-2 months

Brett
03-24-2005, 08:24 PM
Why would home owners cover it? Your insurance you had on the bike would cover it. But Id tell the police about the guy with the key as well, If you havent done so already

because it was on the home property and it would be covered, my neighbor said their tools in her husbands truck are covered under homeowners if they are stolen off the property...

good news, my neighbor just told me she seen a guy riding my bike and he stopped next to her so she got a REALLY good look......she even caught part of my take to make sure.

Bad thing is they loaded it into a truck and drove off and she couldnt get their tag # because the tailgate was down and four big black guys were putting it up in the back

she said he almost wrecked it twice........man i would of loved to see him sitting next to me, i woulda swerved and hit his ass

RutRoe
03-24-2005, 11:00 PM
I have a feeling they'll find his bike dropped somewhere.. my friends was recovered after the guy who stole it was speeding.. when they tried to pull him over, he fled... moments later, he wrecked it sorta, bailed and took off on foot.

They never found him. poop. But my friend got his bike back and fixed it, so that's cool.

i did have the steering locked on it.......thats what i cant figure out is how they got it unlocked and the bike started....all i know is it was my bike because my neighbor told me part of the plate # and it was right

Actually home owners wouldnt cover it, b/c you can get insurance on your bike... It's like when or if someone's house burnt down and there car went down with it too cause it was parked in the garage, your home owners policy wouldn't cover it b/c you can get insurance on your car... same deal.

well, home owners would technically cover it if it were in a locked garage or shed and it was stolen. because it was out in the open though there's little doubt in my mind that they would not cover it.

How sure can you be that it was your bike? I mean... if the guy who stole your bike, is actually riding around with a group of bikers, near where he stole it... thats gotta be one of the dumbest car/bike thieves ever...

i know because of the way my turn signals on the back are mounted, the way my tail is solid black with a red/black front fairings, the tinted windscreen, the gunmetal solo cover on the back.........trust me after seeing it for 30 days straight i know it when i see it.... im going out tomorrow night and hoping i run across them again....who knows maybe ill meet them at a red light and run over a bike or two

HyPer50
03-26-2005, 05:17 AM
Eh, no need to mess up your bike... just get one of those stun guns cops use and hit him in the neck. From the videos I've seen, those things'll take pretty much anybody down.

Jaimecbr900
03-26-2005, 07:41 AM
Or what you could do if you see him again is call 911 and follow them while you're on the phone with the police. If you run them over, you'll mess up your own bike.

Next time take your cell wit ya. :goodjob:

i just called the rep. of the two guys that were selling the coupons in my neighborhood. The officer who filed the report will be in touch with the company to investigate further. To me its just to much of a coincidence. I am in NO WAY RACIST but this is how it broke down.......so I thought I would get the situation investigated a little more.

2 black guys come to my house selling coupons for papa johns, they talk to me about my bike, the never introduce themselves but the one guy keeps talking to me about the bike. That night is is stolen , kinda wierd it has been parked in the same spot for 4 weeks and never messed with then its gone the same day they were asking about it. Later that night after its been stolen my neighbor happens to come to a red light and a black guy on MY motorcycle pulls up next to her. She catches part of my tag number and happens to see the guy and three other black guys loading it into a white pickup truck on a road that is not traveled on very much at this time of night. I happen to see my bike the other night (im about 99% sure its mine) riding down a main road in town but couldn't get out from the light to follow them..the next day I talk to my g/f's sister and she tells me she seen a guy riding my bike down the same road at the same time of night as I thought I had seen it.

There is just WAY to much coincidence in the situation for me not to investigate it further. All I know is the next bike is getting an alarm and the new GPS system they are comming out with for bikes

B16a2 Civic
03-28-2005, 04:43 PM
yea...you dont sound racist ( im half black myself)...im not offended...not really suprised cause they guy must be a dumbass to still be in your town...well i hope da guy gets caught, keep us posted man
