We'll see if anyone checks this thread...
I'm trying to decide if I really wanna pull my system out now... it's about 200lbs extra in my lead sled... also, since I only uploaded 2 pics, didnt really give up any kind of list...
94' Civic DX 4dr Auto EG... sleeper project
Factory D15B7 (blown) Swap for D16A6 (Blown)
Mini Me head swap to D16Y8 Vtec (Polished)
Felpro 2 layer steel headgasket
K&N ghetto whale penis
Swap to P28 ECU
Vtec plug wires
Bosch Platinum +2 plugs
Still looking for a cam gear, B2 throttle body, and a header... of course I dont wanna buy new unless I gotta (broke student/homeowner) but I'm gettin kinda impatient...
Been looking at T4's and NO2, buuuuut... $$ and the bottom's not built.
Possibly gonna do a bottom end this summer out of car and swap it in, now that I know I can do all this myself. Would love to convert to 5spd but I've heard some horror stories... prob just buy a 2dr project car already 5spd. Also, some wheels... f*ck steelies n caps.
Blown D16A6...

The stereo is just like the engine, I did all the work. Alpine deck, stinger wires, sony in the doors, kicker 15 in the trunk (Huge particle box, tuned/ported). Sounds good but I can tell it's back there...

Hey man, if it werent for the fact that the lowest quote I could get was $1400, I would have never done it. I had to make myself take that thing apart, but I have a haynes manual and researched on the net for days... and in the end, it really wasnt much of a hassle... and you have a steel gasket from the factory so that makes it pretty easy. It's all about TDC... I'm tellin you pimp I NEVER did some shit like this before... I've done any/everything but tear into the head or block on anything... oldschool V8 intake is about as deep as I ever went before this. Now, I ain't scared, it's actually pretty straight-forward, especially if u aint doin some frankenstein shit like me. If you ever want to do it I'll help you, can do it in a day easy alone, two ppl less than 6hrs. Good idea to change timing belt and water pump while ur in there +20-30min for water pump, I can get u a 2layer steel felpro and ur timing belt for $52 or less (for both) with my managers discount at Pepboys, idk $ on a pump, but dont think it's much.

No shit pimp! Imagine how I felt, I didn't have anyone to help me at all, a few net forums I got all my ducks in a row with... I basically researched everything about headgasket repair, diy&how to's, vids&pics, etc... I had to make sure I got the right ECU, injectors, timing belt... which means I had to learn the diff between the OBD's n such, plus I was so f*cked up with what I was starting with after a few bad swaps (total of 3 engines since xmas, the last one I did the head swap on)... I didn't know if anything would hook straight up since I have a 88-91 CRX engine in a 94 civic, swapping to a 97 VTEC head... I never heard of a mini me when I started looking to replace my blown head, stumbled into it, and now a month later I did it myself. Anything you need that I can help you or any other member with I will happily oblige (no homo lmfao)
