View Full Version : $200 cash for YOU

Baaaaaasically.... my partner and I have just purchased a brand new $60,000 mobile concession truck. Its big, its bad ass, it has grills and a freezer, etc etc. This is going to be our side company/job. We are in the process of developing a menu and all that good stuff.
HOW YOU CAN MAKE $200: I don't know Atlanta and surrounding areas that well. We are not looking to have an employee drive the truck everywhere and park at random places and hope for customers. I am looking for a secure location, perhaps next to a big office building/warehouse where I can park the truck and have someone work out of it 7 days a week. I will take care of the permits/permission and all that good stuff. I need to know of a location/building/warehouse where MANY people work that has little to no options for its employees to get lunch/dinner. You know, the type of location where people have to hop in their cars and drive somewhere to get food on their lunch break.... a location where lunchtime is an inconvenience rather than a pleasure or where employees are almost forced to bring food from home.
If your suggestion ends up being where we operate out of, we will give you $200 cash... and a free meal. :) It's not like I could take your idea and not pay... you'd know where I'd be! Thanks. :)

Yeah, we've already got Colleges/universities on the list, as well as strip clubs/regular clubs/bars for the night time. However, we are leaning more towards office buildings at the moment. Thanks.

GREAT suggestion. However, according to Google : "Wayne Farms LLC will phase out its Douglas, Ga. further processing facility by the end of July 2009 due to the end of a long-standing and highly-specialized customer contract and as a necessary next step in the company’s ongoing efforts to increase operating efficiencies."

Keep it permantly parked at one of the parking lots near GA State Commons (the housing about 3 blocks from campus) there is only shitty and expensive landmark diner there, you WILL make money there.

windward parkway off 400 - tons of office buildings on that road. has tons of restaurants along that road also. worth a look though.
world of coca cola area - although underground atlanta is real close foot traffic should be good due to tourism.
centennial olympic park - tons of tourists over there, foot traffic galore. Never seen a concession stand out there.
corner of peachtree st and 16th street (high museum of art) - u have a museum there and lots of big old office buildings. Restaurants within walking distance...
peachtree street near fox theater - office buildings and fox theater and bank of america building, emory hosp. nearby. i see tourists sometimes. There are restaurants nearby though...
buckhead financial center on peachtree - this area is near lenox mall, tons of new developments going on (i.E construction) ...etc. a marta station is nearby. Always see a alot foot traffic driving thru there...
suntrust bank in downtown corner of peachtree and peachtree center avenue - if you drive south on peachtree passing the suntrust building there alot of tall building there. Seems very promising on that street.
Good luck..

Great responses. :goodjob: I'm going to spend most of next week checking some of these places out.
Centennial Park/World of Coca Cola/Aquarium was one of my first ideas but had to let that one go. There is nowhere for me to park the truck to catch everyone unless I get a street permit which will disrupt traffic. Keep in mind, this thing is HUGE. Its not a little hotdog cart. :D

Shouldn't you have thought about this before buying the truck?
You would probably make more money by driving to different events. They let big trucks like that park on the sidewalk/parts of the centennial olympic park (when there are events going on). But to have a fixed position there you would be competing with the food court at the CNN center. A LOT of people go there just to eat daily.

Come on now, give me the benefit of the doubt here. We've had the truck for roughly 3 months now and it is already making good money in South Carolina. We want to bring it here. :goodjob:
We've got the events covered. Thanks tho.

Thanks. :)Thats not really going to make a difference. You won't have to pay up unless you have a contract, and I doubt you'd set up a contract for $200 lol.

True, but $200 is hardly worth not paying up when a pissed off person, knowing where the truck will be, can cause so much more in damage late at night sometime. :goodjob:

Do you have anymore info on that? Perhaps the name of one of the carpet factories so I can do some research? Thanks.

Theres a big industrial park in Cartersville that could use a lunch wagon... lots of mills around but only one eating place (and its a "biscuits n' gravy" type place). No where else around for about 2 miles in any direction other than a couple gas stations. And there are plenty of vacant lots (if you need somewhere to park the big truck).
