Just go to Gnet Canada's website, we're a dealer for them and they offer a similar computer but its more expensive. They do have a DVD player in them and a little better extra stuff. For the money these HP's are a pretty damn good deal. For a monitor Gnet does offer plenty of options that run off VGA and also have 2 aux RCA video inputs. They're also touch screen so you can use all the computers functions. Remember you can run GPS, diagnostic software, MP3's and all on these in car PC's. They're well worth the money, and especially for what your asking for them.

lilliput makes a touchscreen in either vga or usb that plugs right in. best bang for buck as far as that goes.

www.mp3car.com

to use this particular setup, you'll also need a power inverter good for at least 300 watts since the computer runs off of ac current, your car has a dc current circuit. you'd also need to make sure it's stored in a well ventilated area (where air can easily access the case, and its contents). computers do not do very well in heat, and in the summertime, its hard to keep them cool.

According to this site, it has two memory slots. Is the 512 memory a pair of 256 or a single 512?

What is the 8-pin black connector, centered on the back?

USB2?

you may/may not be able to use the vga to rca adaptor.. due to signals being different sometimes. because of the pal signal and ntcs(?? i think) singal. i tried to do the same thing to get my other screen to work and it didnt work due to this issue.

just wanted to make you aware of that so you buy and it doesnt work right off the bat.

I think its called a HP Port control system..not sure..I downloaded a pdf showing what does what, and It doesnt clearly state what that black port does.

I havent opened any of them to find out if there was a single 512 or 2 - 256. I'll let you know tomorrow.

just an FYI. what i posted earlier is just to let you guys know that you may have that issue and wouldnt think that atif is a crap seller.

it is a problem that you can get around. just make sure you do you're HW before hand. takes a lot to get a comp into a car. if i hadnt already got the system i do, this would be something id be looking into.
