pics are just kinda OK to me. they don't really pop. i think lower light in the background with the strobes would have helped the last one a lot and as far as the ones in front of bamboo... idk. they just look like snap shots as is for some reason.

Teah, the subject isn't well lit in comparison to the background.

I think it might need some more warmth? maybe? and flash behind the trees or bushes or whatever those things are is putting some harsh light on the back side of her face (on the first 3) But im no photographer. just an opinions.
But the potential here is amazing, maybe a little lighter and more warmth, and you have my vote to keep the word photoshoot in hahaha.
Edit: I also remembered that your still learning with the umbrellas, but you should move the one you were illuminating her with or different settings, i think thats what is making me see the cool in her face and skin.

this was the exact lighting we were going for. didnt want soft lighting. or an overall exposed scene.
Darker pictures is my style. i like it, and i feel at adds more depth and character for most things. the outside shots i didnt like from the start. there was no literal separation from the background, and i had to throw hair lights through bamboo, so not fun at all. was not an ideal setup. but she was happy so whatevas i guess
