Wow, I cant believe you still have ANY of this stuff with salemanship like that. Plus, an 84mm un-sleeved LS.... One heat cycle and its done. Thats WAYY too much. 83 is pushing it, 84? LOL.
Honestly I wouldnt have said shit about your thread but the fact that people ask innocent questions and you turn into a dickhead is something else. If you wanna sell parts, you gotta at least seem like you give a fuck....
And share a smile with someone :)

Yeah homie, please do that. I didn't want to be a jackass and mess up your thread, but a 84mm LS block is nothing more than a core. It's not recommended to got beyond 1mm when overboring, and that block is 3mm over.

iis it an auto or manual ecu

Take a vernier caliper and check the bore... pretty easy to do- If it is in fact 84mm, then thats crazy.

Now isnt that a better attitude to use when trying to sell parts?
Honestly, that a huge bore on an LS. The B20 stock bore has about the same thickness of walls as a B18 stock bore. But when the LS is bored 1.5mm thinner its gets scary. Good luck with your boys sale.

You cannot bore a stock ls to 84mm that block is junk now

05-17-2009, 10:09 PM
B20 block has a different sleeve it's cast thicker. You cannot bore a factory 1.8l block 3 mm over
ls-r teg
05-18-2009, 07:03 AM
ok well why would the machine shop do that if its not safe? block gaurd wont make a difference?

No, the block guard will do nothing for the thin walls. Think about a big firecracker in an aluminum can. End result is cracked sleeves. That block would have to be resleeved to be able to do something with it.
