Dude what a fucking episode!!! Locke is really dead and his body is inhabited by the guy sitting next to Jacob at the beginning of the episode, Esauw would be the christian bro of Jacob right?

Richard/Ricardus said in Latin "What lies in the shadow of the statue? Richard answered "Our leader He who will save us all!".........translated from "Ille qui nos omnes servabit"

Both JJ Abrams and the other writer have stated LOST is not biblical story but most of their themes can be found in various religions, hence the Statue Jacob lives in is an Egyptian God, John Locke (english philosopher), etc.

I'm wondering what Hurley has in the guitarcase and what he/it has to do with Jacob, since Hurley did not want to come back to the island at all until he met Jacob.

As for "They Are Coming" when Jacob says this as Ben stabs him, I believe he knows that Juliet set the bomb off and the nuke flashed them forward into their normal time period of 2007. So Kate, Jack, Sayid, Hurley, Jin, Sun, Sawyer will be apart of this War that is coming to the island on Jacob's side. I don't have a clue what happens to Miles and Juliet though. Maybe they just end up on the island with the rest of them but have no major part in the war.

In my opinion, Jacob knew Hurley's "condition" of seeing people who he thought were dead. Jacob also knew that Hurley needed to come back to the island so I think Jacob purposely left Charlie's guitar with him..knowing that Hurley would open the case, recognize the guitar and would come back to the island...maybe even hoping that he could give him the guitar back.

What I want to know, along with everyone else, is who is the other guy at the beginning that Jacob is talking to. Obviously they are stuck together somehow and unknown boundries keep one from getting rid of the other.

We also know this being can exist in other bodies (as he came back as Locke)...so he seems to hold more power then even Jacob to be able to do so.

In the end though, Jacob knew what was coming and by "they're coming" I can't tell if that means the group who showed up with Locke's body (because they obviously have ties to Jacob..at least her because of the scene where Jacob was asking for her help).

i think jacob was involved in everyones life for the purpose of getting them to come to the island and do what they did in an effort to stop the other guy.

See, i'm not quite so sure if it was to stop everyone, or to purposely put all that into action. I say this because he seemed to have brought Locke back to life when he fell out of the building. If he knew that Locke was going to come back to kill him, I don't think Jacob would have done that. Notice that Locke wasn't surprised to see what Jacob looked like? Given all the other events, and how Locke was before he "came back", I think there would have been a look of surprise of recognition....kinda like when Jack ran into Desmond in The Hatch and rememberd meeting him before.

Locke wasn't surprised to see Jacob b/c this Locke is "fake Locke" aka the other guy we saw at the beginning of the episode on the beach with Jacob looking at the Black Rock sailing towards the island. He found the loophole to kill Jacob, using someone else to kill him, BEN, b/c "fake Locke/Jacob's rival" couldn't/can't do it himself for some reason. The REAL Locke is dead in the box that the Ajira flight members and Iliana brought to Richard.

that is a sounds theory. But to why does this person at the beginnin of the episode want to kill jacob? And to who/what are they? And why do these lost motherfuckers keep giving us ?'s without answer damnit! lol

I'm starting to think that the other person at the beginning is something like the 'spirit of the island' and that he can take on different forms and that "it" can't physically can't do anything to Jacob, someone else has to. But there is a problem, Richard. Richard is Jacob's guard and is supposed to protect him from harm but because Locke seems to defy all that makes sense, Richard sees him as very special and trusts taking him to Jacob. Once they are past Richard, Locke has the power to control Ben to kill Jacob (not literally control, but influential power).

Which leads me to my next theory. At the beginning, the mystery man obviously does not want people on the island. So with that said, if he takes control of the island (Jacob being dead), I think he wipes out all human life on the island...or at least tries to (seen when he tells Richard that they wil be 'taking care' of the survivors of the crashed plane). Just a theory though. Or they all simply disappear when Juliet detonates the bomb....which we still dont know if it's a interaction against how things are supposed to be or if it is actually the cause of everything.

Lets not forget about Claires son, Aaron. In Season 1, the psychic said that he COULD NOT be raised by anyone but her and something along the lines of "evil" surrounding the child.

"The biblical Aaron is a descendant of Jacob (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Jacob) (through Levi, Kohath and Amram).

Biblical Aaron is also a descendant of Benjamin (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Benjamin), the twelfth son of Jacob.

Desmond (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Desmond) told Charlie (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Charlie) that he had a flash (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Desmond%27s_flashes) of the future, in which he saw Claire (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Claire) and Aaron leave the Island via a helicopter (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Helicopter). According to Desmond, this would only happen after Charlie sacrificed himself. ("Greatest Hits (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Greatest_Hits)")"

But Claire stayed on the island with Christian. I'm eager to see their next appearance. Christian's connection to the island is one of the only things I still can't comprehend.
