southside meet thursday?

I know i have brought this up like 3 times, BUT i am reallu wanting a big meet like the V or Sonic around the South Side.
You guys think we can get a meet up for Thursday night. pick a place real quick and have everyone come out. JUST SPREAD THE WORD!!!!
maybe meet behind the Taco bell in Stockbridge, thats a pretty big empty parking lot.

any takers? lets get this going
ill bring out the new HD cam.. maybe we can get Jordan(since i havent heard form you in a min) to come snap some Pics for us

Varsity is first tursday...sonic is last thursday..why cant we be second thursday of the month.

and its not that i dont like northside ppl. i would love for them to come down too. it would give more size...its just we always ride their to meets. why cant the southside host one a month?

not a bad idea as long as its not an "itsstockdotnet" meet. last meet i went to on the southside ended up being an is.net meet and half the cars were from SSI lol.

ok... enough with the hating. if you really want to plan something like this, you should pick a parking lot, get the owners written permission and then go from there. people don't like bouncing around from parking lot to parking lot so if they know for sure that they are welcomed and won't have to worry about the popo showing up and writing loitering or trespassing tickets, im sure you'll get a good group.

once you get permission, then pick a day and start promoting it on all the forums. if you really want a big turnout, you need to find a way to motivate people to show up.... whether its free giveaways, raffles, or happy endings lol..

Good suggestions here. At Sonic, they have permission to use the parking lot. Hell, they even have police come through there and keep things calm :D

My suggestion is to find a different day where there are no other meets, and it's conveniant for people to go.

Good luck, northen tool meet will get broken up shortly after the meet gets going. What killed that spot 2 years ago is when they handed everyone in parking lot a loitering ticket

yeah guys i would love to have a meet around the stockbridge area. just a peaceful. car gathering. since thursday isnt going to work, what is a better day? Sunday?

if we organize this we need to get as many ppl as possiblet to show up every week to grow it!

^^ every week? don't think thats a smart idea. i thought you wanted it like the V? once a month or something like that no? if you want a huge group, once a month is a better idea. this past import alliance was a great idea and should be replicated. i've been wanting to host a meet in a parking garage for quite some time. with this past import alliance meet proved that it was a great idea and with a little more thought and detail, it could turn out to be the "meet" that everyone goes to.

just gotta find a dope ass parking garage.. get permission.. find a few good dj's that are willing to spin for free... and then voila. you'll have yourself the meet you're looking for. i would also hire a cop to chill.. should cost no more than 150 for 4 hours or so. charge $2/car to come in to cover costs and you will walk away w/o losing a dime and will probably make some money. once things progresss and it stabilizes, raise the price to $5. if you build it, they will come! hah

i've been putting meets together since 2000.. what i've learned is that in order to pull it off successfully, you really need to put in alot of time and effort. the more people you want, the more you have to put in. in this day and age, in order to motivate people to actually come to a meet thats new, you have to give them a reason to be there..

for example... if you set up a make shift octagon style ring and said the first 100 cars to show up gets a free shot at whoppin on thacker, i would bet you would have way more cars than you could imagine lol.
