Stupid question what is the point in hacking into you VC if you don't have adjustable cam gears? This may not apply here though I cant tell, but I have seen several with this done.

sorry if i thread jacked but i done my valve cover not too long ago. did a lil somethin diff. than everyone else, and i know i dont have ajustable cam gears but i thought i would share it with ya man.

^^ when you get the motor back in tie it to a tree or somethin stationary and back up. but you need someone up front to watch to make sure you dont go too far. or pull the e-brake and hook a come along to it and ratchet it back.

Well yesterday was mothers day so, i didnt do anything but....

Today I did a few things..

I got my vtec sel. on (lookin Fresh!) and the Dizzy on..

The valve cover is getting Cut tonight by my boy cory, Cuz he is a beast when it comes to fabrication and whatnot...

Next I put Cam gears on, timing belt,water pump,cover, oil cooler, "charcoal box", and antifreez line( not sure what it called)

Now im in the process of stripping my wheels down for Polish! Rota subzero's

I just feel i have alot of preping to do thats why im taken my time, and not gonna rush things and F it up!!:D

OK well Ive been doing alot of lil things to get this ready to put in.. and finally Thursday NIGHT My homie and I got to it!

My buddie is letting me use his TYPE R valve cover until he cuts mine! Hell i cant complain about that!!!:boobies:

well early that evening I finished striping my wheels.. And got Brand new tires:goodjob:

then later that night the brain gets put in!

O and It was misting outside ALL NIGHT!!!:no:

WE stayed out there so long we saw daylight! i went to sleep at 7:00am Friday morning

Looks really good. That's one thing I am jealous of that piston guys have. Your engine cleans up so much nicer than mine. There isn't a whole lot I can clean up. If I ever rebuild the engine, I'm gonna hit the rotor housings with a brass wire drill bit, and that's about all I can do for prettiness.

You do realize you painted aluminum right? Congratulations, your engine is now going to overheat :goodjob:

If you actually spent a couple hours cleaning the engine by hand it would look a million times better than a shitty paint job, engine won't be running hot, and the finish will last infinitely longer.
