I'll admit that it looks like a good movie, but I don't know if it'll be a good Star Trek. We'll see.

I thought it was a good opening movie to start the new franchise. Story IMO was a little wishy washy, but i understand why they had to do it, they had to change the timeline so this franchise can go on and have new adventures and not overlap with Shatners Trek. In that respect i understand it and they pulled it off IMO.

Alll the characters are spot on matches and had the mannerisms , phrases, etc the old ones did. The only one i didnt really like was CHekov. I thought he was a little out of place.

i def not into star trek at all, but just for a movie itself it was great and what little i know about start trek made it just that much better. but i don't suggest taking your girl to go see because mine got lost about half way and had like 50 questions for it when it was over lol

WTF?

Saw it in IMAX with the G/F. I am no trekkie but followed it. My G/F never really watched it. We both loved the movie, kick ass from beginning to end.

I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed, not a bad move at all. I liked the whole cast and using the old Spock in the movie worked pretty well. That chick "awhora" or whatever in the movie also made it all the more enjoyable haha

All I can say is that if you havent seen this yet, go see it now. It was everything that I expected and then some. From the beginning to the end. Chris Pine plays Capt. Kirk very well. Every time I saw him though it reminded me of Smokin Aces when he shoots Ben Afleck and then goes up to his dead body and starts moving his lips with his fingers and starts talking.Lol. All the actors did very well at playing their parts.

Loved it, as an old school trekkie. Anyone could follow this movie on its own though. Bones was perfect! Scotty too.

Great movie, y girlfriend actually DRAGGED me to the theatre. She apparently is a huge closet trekkie and I'd never seen a Star Trek, I am now watching the original Star Trek on youtube. Awesome :)

It was a pretty cool flick. All the acting was top notch, and it was filled with bad ass moments (particularly the space jump). Kirk was a wise ass, Spock was a bad ass, and Scotty was funny as hell. 4 1/2 stars out of 5.

Saw it last week and really enjoyed it. I think it will be good for the series especially since they did a good job with the concept. It will bring in new fans like transformers did.

I saw it the other day and loved it. It definitely lived up to the hype. Seeing a lot of the character traits pop up here at there was fun too. I'd like to go see it in IMAX if I get the chance.
