What happened to the "IA box car derby"?

What ever happen to running a "IA box car derby"? There was so much hype about that and everyone was interested in doing it. What does everyone think about organizing one again and actually do it this time?

x2, the organizer bailed. Our HFMS car is still sitting out beside the shop. I'd be up for completing it if someone gets something going.

Im in, Ive wanted to build one of these for years to compete in the Atlanta Soap Box Derby.

Atlanta Soap Box does theirs at the Starlight Drive-in during the day. Im sure if we could get a big enough interest they would let us do it there.

we have to make sure we do it right, with real videographers like that.... ppl who are good with editting with nice ass cameras on bikes... lol

maybe not so much on the nice ass cameras... some pretty basic cameras will due... but just good editting

What I would like to see is this become something everyone on IA gets together and does once or twice a year.
