Where are y'all at? What do y'all fish for, where, any secrets to bring the fish in? Favorite way of fishing?

Catfish and Bass for me

Lake Oconee and Lake Sinclair

Don't have any secrets, just SKILLZ. lol

Trot-line, Juggin' are my two favorites.

Pulled in a 38lb Channel Catfish and a 9lb bass last year, the biggest of all I caught in the last year. Will have pics when home PC is fixed.

Discuss:D

I fish for what ever is there, I have a pond in my back yard that has some very aggressive brim of all things ( lol) there are a good many catfish and I will be stocking it with a little bigger game fish here shortly.

I've been fishing at a remote island thats part of lake lanier. All I have to do is cast about 10 feet on this one spot because it's hecka deep already after you see the rocks cliffs from the shore. 10-30ib stripers be hitting real good here and there right near the bank. I've just started using blueback herrings since its the best live bait to use. Minnows are a 50/50 given. I'd fish for anything that's worth good eating! Hit me up with some pointers and hotspots! I still can't seem to find a hotspot at Lake Oconee! No boat owner here!!

I haven't had much luck at sinclair, only a few cats. Anybody know any good places on sinclair to try my luck?

Let's keep this thread going guys!

I've found that using the "back straps" off Gar, makes hella good catfish bait, as it's really stinky. Thats what I snagged the 38lb cat in with. I use alot of crank baits for bass.

As for Sinclair I never have any luck fishing, so I just jump in the pretty water and swim lol.

Hit up the river channels on the lake, and also the deep water near I-20 bridge are really good places. Ive fished out there every year. Put it this way, last year in the river channels, we brought in 200lbs worth of blue cats in a day and half. Good stuff:goodjob:

btw, I have a 14ft Jon-Boat for sale ;)

Trout. I like to get in the water when I fish! I fish mostly in NE GA - Warwoman area (Earl's Ford, etc), Wildcat Creek, and also like to fish on the Etowah in the US Mountain Ranger Camp in Dahlonega.

I prefer the Gulf of Mexico for my fishing. Lived on the west coast of florida. The specialty of the house is sea trout. Fish that I have knocked off the hit list include...

Striper
Sm Bass
Lm Bass
Rainbow Trout
Carp
Red
Pompino
Cobia
Spoon sharks
Flounder
Grouper
Sheeps Head

and the list goes on and on.

My pops is a fishoholic so you can imagine what I did as a youngin. lol

cut bait works great for cat fish and striped bass

they prefere blue herins.

bass fishing- use garys platic senkos (watermelon with red flakes or red senkos)
works the best in lanier.

hope this helps a bit.

mainly largemouth and stripe bass. plastic lizards and worms are my preferred choice but i use jigs every now and then. i usually hit up the rivers or lakes around here. when i get the chance i love to go trout fishing. those little fuckers can be hard when spooked. i use trout magnets or flies for em. biggest trout caught to date was a few weeks ago at about 15 inches.

i try to stay where areas are covered with some trees and whatnot. use a lizard and get it to drag across the bottom with a little pop of the rod every now and then to get it movin. fish tear em up, lol. i also got this garlic dip stuff that dies the end of the lure a different color and puts a scent off in the water. i gotta admit though, shit works pretty good. i picked it up at wal-mart for a few bucks.

You caught a striper on minnows? That's rare, isn't it? Herring is what I was told they only take. But if their hungry, I guess, eh?
