I took a broken ratchet into sears today and they told me they don't exchange them anymore? That they send the ratchets off and theres a 3 week turnaround for them to be fixed?

Did they just bullshit me... or is this some new policy? I've never had any problem in the past.

They are required to replace it. I work there so I know this to be true. They should just hand you a new one and trash the old one.

I went back up there, and 30 minutes later walked out with a new ratchet. They called corporate and then a district manager.

I know why it was such a hassle but I'll be nice.

Fuck Union City Sears.

sears is cheap shit, matco is cheap shit, mac and snap-on are more expensive but alot better quality. and i hear people all the time breaking tools and gettin all mad about it but if ur using the wrong toold for the job ur goin to have to expect stuff like that to happen. same reason u dont see people takin off lug nuts with a 1/4" ratchet ect
