March 21, 1960 – May 1, 1994

I was a little kid when Ayrton made his name in Formula 1 but it isn't hard to see why he will forever be the meter stick by which all others are judged.

That was just a disastrous race all around.

EJ would you happen to have a picture of the painted 2 spot starting grid for the next race (Monaco?)?

I have found it earlier in vids of the race but not an actual shot.

F1 is very private about those great pictures and they rarly end up on the net.

I'll check my F1 download site if 1994 season/monaco pics exist.

I'm going to assume it is a very powerful photo, I'd love to have a good res copy of it for a desktop etc. Let me know what you find out.

Oh, thanks anyway EJ. I liked your rep message. It's funny, I had read about it before but never had it come up until I saw this thread......I thought "oh cool, knowledge on what seems to be a trivial event to most people is actually about to serve me well!".

There is a movie in the works about Senna (hopefully they won't blow it):
