So stoked! Everything is near perfect!
I am using coilovers I made out of a 240sx coilover+ebay parts+eibach springs. This setup is 1/2 way up! It works awesome I must say http://images.bimmerforums.com/smilies/smile.gif I believe the setup is 600 lb springs. NO rubbing even under spinning tire launch!
BTW, I have been meaning to getting my lowers colormatched forever, but I keep buying more exterior parts to be painted...http://images.bimmerforums.com/smilies/biggrin.gif Carbon fiber gurney flap coming soon! As well as a photoshoot using a real camera http://images.bimmerforums.com/smilies/biggrin.gif
I went and picked up the tires from some shack-ass looking place. These guys were DICKS. The dude selling me the tires had no idea what I was trying to do and barely knew english. http://images.bimmerforums.com/smilies/nono.gif
Anyways,
My cousin and I were having a hell of a time getting the 225/45/17 on the 10.5. We were using a ratchet strap and starter fluid http://images.bimmerforums.com/smilies/wink.gif Too much stretch, and not enough bead shelf for it to work though http://images.bimmerforums.com/smilies/frown.gif
I ended up taking it to a place near my house I had never been before. The guys were super cool about it and there were actually 4 people working at getting them mounted http://images.bimmerforums.com/smilies/tongue.gif
Starter fluid was a no-go. Then the cheetah was a no-go as well. Then an old guy came over from next door where they mount tractor tires. He used Murphy's oil soap around the open bead while giving it air through the valveless stem. The cheetah worked that time http://images.bimmerforums.com/smilies/biggrin.gif
We tried http://images.bimmerforums.com/smilies/smile.gif
