Could you pls tell me the difference between Disc brakes and Drum brakes? All i know about them is that Disc brakes are better than Drum brakes.... but what's the reason behind it?

disc brakes.. are discs and have 2 pads pressed against the rotor for friction, and drums.... well.. are drums with shoes being pushed outwards against the drum for friction?

you can modulate disc brakes much much better than drum. once a drum locks up your have to release most if not all pressure for the shoes to release. its just the way its designed. the pads increase pressure due to the way the drum spins. disc brakes can dissipate heat much much faster than drum.
