The only problem I have is the headlines say that Toyota is running light vs Vettel, but they miss the whole picture. Trulli is 10 kg lighter than Vettel, which should translate into 0.3 second advantage for Trulli. Trulli qualified 0.6 seconds ahead of Vettel. How is Vettel the "danger man" as quoted on one of the sites? Glock is 16 kg lighter than Vettel and admitted to a mistake on his qualifying lap. He said "He knew it would not be enough for poll". This 16 kg lighter fuel load should translate into about 0.45 second advantage over Vettel. Glock qualified 0.3 seconds ahead of Vettel with a mistake.

The Red Bull chassis with Vettel is surely very quick, but I think the press is overlooking the above facts. They seem to be a little smitten with Vettel after his nice win last race.


P.S. I am worried about Trulli's comments about his brakes. Brakes are something that can ruin a race very quickly.

The second stint, running of prime tires, killed Toyota. Glock lost alot of time on the primes. Oh well, decent result. On to Barcelona.

Toyota just cant win can they?

Well Button definetly drove the car well and with the Brawn working so well in the dry, i knew podium was gonna be in the cards but the win is even better.

Vettle did well to hold of Jarno on the worse of the two tires so he definetly deserves the points.

Ferrari.....they got some points and lead at one point. They is something i'd wanna say about Force India but no, its Ferrari.

McLaren looks to be gaining speed but is still a long way behind RB, Brawn, and Toyota.


This is a busy weekend for me. I still have to watch:

Superbikes Assen: Race 1, Race 2, and WSS
BTCC Thruxton: Race 3
Super GT Suzuka: (still haven't watch it, hate japanese commentary)

Looking back, Toyota should have run the second stint on the option tires like RB and Brawn. I think they lost too much time in a critical part of the race. They have the pace to win a race, just need a few things to fall thir way.

It is good to see new faces at the podium. I think it is good for the sport.

This seasons is shaping up to be great! I'm liking seeing some different talent winning races rather then seeing a McLaren/Ferrari dog fight. Competition is nearly always beneficial for racing, and seeing Ferrari and McLaren trail will definitely help make F1 more popular. I think that Ferrari and McLaren trailing behind in the opening few rounds will reveal the true nature of the two teams. Will they be able to get it together?

Other good question that are coming out the season: Now that Red Bull, Brawn, and Toyota are showing signs of being stronger, will other teams be able to step their game and become contenders?

I'm looking forward to see how the season plays out.
