Overtightened a bolt for the vtec solenoid, now the bolt is broken off in the head. Anyone want to come get it out for 10 bucks? or anyone have advice to get it out?

wish i could help. ive done similar things with valve cover bolts a few times.

i ended up taking it to a shop and they tapped it out. just sucks paying shop labor.

theres a tool you can go buy at an auto store...not to sure wat's call but its a reverse drill...im sure its cheaper then having it done at the shop...you can just go the an auto part store and tell them and im sure they can lead you the way...sorry wasnt much help...

use a bolt extractor, or some refer as reverse bolt.
drill a small hole in the broken bolt, and then insert the bolt extractor in and slowly twist counter clockwise. You must be very precise, and try not to worsen the situation.

take it to the dealership and talk to one of the techs. for some extra cash one may fix it after hours if its an easy fix. Or just drill it out.

reverse drill bits or drill extractors.. they're awesome.thats what u need. they are like 5 bux 10 tops at most hardware stores and auto parts stores .
take it to the dealership and talk to one of the techs. for some extra cash one may fix it after hours if its an easy fix. Or just drill it out.this is just a waste of time. a $5 isnt worth the tow nor the hassle of getting 1 of the techs to do it.
