I figured I'd post this here to help someone out. It sounds like the piston but I really have no idea.

Please post if you think you know what this is. LINK:

I'll tell you exactly what it is. The cats got too hot, overheated, sucked back up a peice of metal into cylinder 1 and is chewing the piston, head, and scaring the block.

I thought it was muffler bearing who knows that VID is hard to tell, maybe broke push rod, sounds more like a knock rev it up to about 9k rpms and do a vid and let us all hear it again.

How many miles does it have?

Fresh info - it happened after a 190mph run.
No clue on the mileage. I've never even seen the car.
9kRPM? This isn't a rotary! An LS7 will hit 7k stock but this is a 454 and with an issue this big it'll definitely blow up. Wait...

whatever it is. the motor needs to be removed and torn down for a rebuild. simple as that. driving it/running it is only going to make it worse. and more expensive, because you might throw a rod through the block which means youll need rods and block. if not already. so basicly pull it quick and get it over with. might just need some machine work on the crank and some bearings. vs.... crank block rods pistons cam valvetrain... you know a crate motor.

Sounds like a lifter or rod knock to me too.. Make sure its not a lifter before you just tear it down.
