View Full Version : Dynamic Wing on a ***
The dynamic wing is one of the coolest features on the car. Its tied to the cars computer and a separate control panel so you have all the freedom to tinker and dial in the wings settings. It moves and adjusts to the car.
Here it is on demo mode: At CES http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Deg1p8biZhE
In action on the race track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7l70Q6P-vU
The company was just started by a pair of MIT graduates and they did thorough testing that you can see on their website. http://aeromotions.com/

This is an old concept, I don't know why it never really caught on. 2 seconds per lap improvement is nice.

I've talked to the owner of the company. He is in Boston, MA.
The wing is cool as hell for fuction. But man. $10k for the model above is too much for most hobbiest.

Yeah but what kind of regular car enthusiast needs that wing? It would be useless on a DD car.

That car looks really good.

too bad for them, rules in ANY racing platform permit movable flaps or canards.

The next car with this toy that wrecks is going to sue them lol...
Nicely executed, but its entirely useless for street driving and illegal in racing. So I guess this fits in into the track bling category?

I want to be smart like this guy.
That what I was thinking. Apparently he's never seen a supra (or equal power car) hit 170mph+ and start to get squirley.
Anyone remember that on i-75 back in, like, 02?
