where are my nonchalant(sp) people ??

i've been hearing alot lately that i'm too nonchalant about things..(who cares?)..
in how i deal with people, how i react to things and it appears that i have a "DONT GIVE A FUCK" attitude. i think it
it's kinda funny 'cause the people that tell me this are people i've either known for a while(family, friends) or females and though they say overall it's a great thing that i'm laid back it annoys them sometimes depending on the subject.
like when i got in the accident last month the first time i called the folks they went back to sleep cause to them and i quote "you talked about it like someone bumped you lightly, but your ass almost died !! and all you could say was i'm cool ma!!"
how many people in this place get the same type of response from people??

Its true..Im the same way..just laid back..if something happens..oh well, in a week you wont even think about it, so why sweat it now.

there are TONS of people who say they are the same way, but its so easy to figure out that they really arent. girls especially...they love to say they are laid back, but its so easy to get them all hyped up with issues...lol

exactly. i take things in life life like this.....if you can change it , do so. if you cant you can't. getting all amped up over something when all it needs is a solution (i.e. do something about it or not) doesnt help you think clearly. i know that (some)women do have a problem with that, saying that they are laid back, but as a whole are emotional creatures.

i mean, it's kinda funny. i dont know how many times i've been asked the same question and since i responded(like i dont care as some put it) it was a response all the same. what dont they get ?? i'm not one to dramatize anything. someone can tell me that the world is gonna end tomorrow.. and i'll most likely be like "really, well guess i'm no going to work today " and walk away .

fa sho.... i'm happy with being laid back, cause it's so amusing to see how people panic for no reason. like with the gas issues, the first one and now. people were like,
"OMFG!!! the gas pipeline is stopped !!! lemme go grab gas for all my 12 cars, tell my friends, parents and enemies to hurry and fill up too!!!
next thing you know, price gouging. cause no one listened to the full report. there was no need to panic we will be ok.

I am the same way. For Example my GF broke up with me this weekend and was going to move out and I calmly asked her to stay more than one time. I calmly told her that I loved her and she didn't need to leave and we would work things out. Now she took that like I didn't care, when in reality i did care, I just wasn't crying or begging her to stay...
