a friend of mine in highschool took out the springs on a camry he had, we would see-saw it on the speed bumps in the school parking lot...lol

Cliff

here's a hint of who else it happened to...

TKellarB

^^sorry -- noob here -- who's car(S)??

We bottomed out trailering a large boat with a 4WD F150 - big dip out of a parking lot-- had to unhitch the boat and jack it up to move it -- unbelievably humiliating....

Cliff
03-23-2005, 07:36 PM
there is no such thing as a fwd f150....and also it is a silver neon.....clearly suggesting quick dodge....he said his shocks were draggin the ground or somthin...a delivery van pushed him over it so he could pull out

TKellarB
03-23-2005, 07:39 PM
sorry -- edit -- 4WD :)

they both look like camrys....

Cliff
03-23-2005, 07:41 PM
they both look like dodge neons to me...and with 4wd you couldnt get the trailer to move....wow thats weaaaaaak

TKellarB
03-23-2005, 07:48 PM
it was a really deep dip in the pavement -- the hitch got stuck and dug into the pavement -- as I said...humiliating...very humiliating

Mazda B2200 ext cab 1/4" off the ground. Reflector collector, used to pull up the reflectors in the road with it. I had to avoid speed bumps, ruts in the road, had to pull in at an angle to get in my driveway. Man I miss that truck. Once got it stuck in the middle of downtown Jonesboro.

Cliff
03-23-2005, 07:55 PM
hahahahahaha i have tried climbing up a really steep hill before and it dug my drop down hitch into the rocks and dirt and i couldn't back down so i had to shift out of 4hi into 4lo and just keep climbing the hill till i could turn around....so i guess i feel ya on that

yea, but I am sure you didn't have the entire lunch crowd of Wendys pointing and laughing as you were trying to get out of the situation.....

Cliff
03-23-2005, 07:59 PM
oh and i will toss in my story...my old club street pros was on our way to the ia knowledge meet and my buddy willy had just gotten his bags installed that day and learned the hard way why to ride around town a while before makin a road trip on a new set up....got to snellville at 124/78 and he was bouncin it when the air line popped off and all 4 corners dumped....he was pancaked in the turn lane so after trying to get it back up to no luck he drives it towards an old empty gas station and as soon as the middle of the truck is over the entrance it gets stuck...back tires were just spinnin....we all had to push him a hard as we could to get it over the bump....and there was no way to get to the line without jackin up the truck which wasn't possible seeing how it was pancaked....so moral of the story....stay in town when you are newly bagged

I had a lowrider back in the 80's that I got stuck on the speedbumps up in Gainesville at the mall - all 4 wheels up in the air. Had to have several people push it off.

^^ Thats weak, we used to slam them on the ground, no bags, no switches, your stuck-YOUR STUCK. Old school mini truckin when you went down as low as you can and if anything got caught, drag it off. :D

When i first put the coilovers on my civic hatch i didn't get finished until around 4am at a buddy's garage. It put the car so low that it was about 1 inch from the ground if that. I was to tired to raise it back up so i just drove home like that. It took me 20 mins to drive what normally took only 10.

Actually cliff, yesterday I was going up to Lake Burton for a cabin party and we had to travel up a rutted out gravel road... My car got stuck on a rock... I was so pissed cause I was going about 10 or 11 MPH and then came to a complete stop b/c I hit a 6" tall rock and got stuck. Clay had to get out of the car and lift up on the front piece of my car so I could roll back over the rock. It was kinda embarassing... LOL

Cliff
03-25-2005, 06:32 PM

i use to get stuck every time i went out in my s-10,then i got bags and problem solved.with the exception of the occasional crusin low as hell on bags and not seeing a big dead cat or possum in the road and wack, then im dragging a dead cat for 100 yards until it goes flying out from under my truck, thinking its gone then later smelling something cooking on the exaust getting home and finding most of this cat is stuck to my exaust and frame...serioulsy the guy at the muffler shop thought it was a furry pot roast.

Well, Cliff posted this refering to me on Tuesday. I was pulling out of a gas station on Moreland and right halfway out, my car got stuck on the driveway. Frontend on Moreland, assend in the parking lot. This dude in a DHL van behind me asked me if I was broke down. I said, sort of. He ended up pushing me out into Moreland so I could get going. Ugh. Later, QD.

Cliff

^^^ Ok. I will. Taco Bell. Hwy 19/41. Jonesboro. Pulling out, I got caught there. Again frontend hangingout in the road. Had to be pulled out of that spot.

Which reminds me. I need to redo my battery tie-down. After I left you Cliff, I went to Suntrust to get some money. I went to the red light by Picadilly's to go straight across to BK. The redlight at Starbuck's. As I was crossing, my car hit a couple of bumps and my fucking battery tilted over pulling my negative terminal wire out. My car shut off and left me sitting in the middle of 138. I was fucked cause the light turned green for 138 traffic to go. Luckily, 3 dudes at Starbuck's came over and helped me push my car over into the parking lot. Lolol. Later, QD.

Remember cruising Stone Mountain on Sundays back in the early 90's? How about opening weekend? How about that car wash just beofre the Rock you would stop off at to clean your ride? How about long ass lines there? How about a 1980 Datsun 210 SW stuck inside one? How about no one could push or pull you out because the frame was actually caught? How about the tow truck driver laughing cause he had to come lift your car and pull it out? Lolol. Later, QD.

Heheh. Did you ever get a ticket in there and then take the ticket and stick it on your car antenna? When the cop would see you, they would give you another ticket and then provide an escort service to the front gate. Lolol.

It's funny that you used to go there, too. I probably saw you up there and laughed at you. Lolol, j/k. Later, QD.

i had a lowered nissan at one point where i had used lowering blocks and it made the leaf springs really low. one ime i ran off the road and the leaf spring got stuck on the shoulder and the tire just sat there and spun. that was when i decided i no longer wanted a lowered truck.

I have been OK with everything except the speed bumps at Gwinnette mall. Those are HORRIBLE speed bumps (i.e. near Fry's).

Everything else just takes lots of care and patience.

I was in a 4x4 on a security patrol and got it stuck down to the chassis in a sink hole. Had to dig it out and pull it the rest of the way out with a Humvee. My platoon SGT caught us after a fellow soldier ratted us out.

When I first got my current car it sat real low because of the tire size I was running and I got stuck on a speedbump tryin to take a friend home...I couldn't go forward at all so I had to back it back off which I almost couldn't do either
