thieves used a front-end loader just after 4 a.m. today to rip an ATM machine out of the ground at the Regions Bank at 100 Kedron Drive in Peachtree City, police said.
Police are seeking the public’s help in solving the crime. The front-end loader was stolen from a construction site, and police believe it was driven north on Ga. Highway 74 to reach the bank. The front-end loader may have been followed or led by a second escort vehicle, police said.
Bank surveillance video at the time of the theft shows a maroon over gray pickup truck which may also be involved in the incident, police indicated.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the police department’s criminal investigations division at 770-631-2510 or the crime and narcotics information hotline at 770-487-6010. Callers may remain anonymous.
