yeah, I know it's not a car. Piss off. Here is my new '06 R6.

Only Mods I plan on doing are 6-10K HID low beam, 3K HID High Beam & a lowering job. Not crazy low, just a lil bit to help out.

I love it. It's a bit high for me 5'9" but it is still very easy to ride. My buddy has a 99, carb'd, lowered, lighter and it's easier to ride than mine. But EFI > carb

I've been wanting to get a bike really badly lately but I can't bring myself to do it....People driving cars don't respect bike riders and all it takes is one careless dumbass to end your life.

Yes, i very much agree. It's not the riders, it's the drivers.

I'm going to put the HID's in and I will always ride with my high beams on so they will be able to see me better.

Yes, i very much agree. It's not the riders, it's the drivers.

And I disagree, a bit. A lot of times it's the riders that have no respect for the road and cars. Bikers always want to cry about cars not giving them "respect" because they're on a bike. And they are the same ones that you see weaving in and out of cars and rolling over 100mph and "stunting" on the highway. Bikers are very hypocritical. Later, QD.

dont lower it....lowering ruins the handling characteristics. Man up and get platform shoes....lol

But seriously, if you can deal with it dont lower it, you will ruin the handling

ddmtuning.com is what you are referring to, last week i went to order from them and they were out of stock. when i said hi/lo i meant that was for my setup. 2 ballasts, 2 ignitors, 2 bulbs (1 H7 and 1 H9) and plug and play wiring shipped for 99.95.

just for the sake of argument, have you ever ridden a lowered bike? i don't mean slammed out, lowered 4+ inches, i just mean a slight drop just for us short guys. not being a dickhead, just want to learn a little bit.

i bought a set of adjustable lowering links for my '06 750 and dropped it about 1.3" so I could flat-foot it and I noticed no handling problems last time I took it to the curves around here....

VIP Style
04-20-2009, 04:33 PM
exactly, i heard that. I have seen some dudes doing some crazy stuff on 85 with their bikes. at the same time there are conscious bikers out their who really do respect their bikes. i use to have a gsxr 750, and its quite a rush riding a bike. just be careful and aware of your surroundings at ALL times.
Cool looking bike, dude.

if you don't know, just say so. i was simply asking a question, and not in a rude way. I honestly want to know what negative effect lowering a bike a small amount has.
