In honor of its 20th anniversary Dragonball Z has been re-relesed in Japan. Its a HD remastered version of the series that will more closely follow the manga. Meaning it will be much faster paced with less filler. The original voice actors were recast for this so all new encoding there. (not that it really matters to us english speakers) There was some talk of certain scenes being redone entirely for better effects. The first 2 episodes have already been aired and are available with fan subs on most anime venues. I would recommend downloading torrents though because otherwise you lose a lot of the updated quality. Also if you originally watched the series dubbed for the US when you were younger it will be easy to notice the stark contrast in the dialouge. Things play out a little differently. I noticed some small cuts in episode 2 that weren't originally there.
