Autoblog.

BMW is far and away the most prolific automaker at the annual 24-hour Nurburgring race, with 114 class victories over the event's 29-year history and almost one-third of last year's field comprised of Bimmers. This year, BMW's Customer Racing program will partner with Schubert Motorsport to bring out a BMW M3 GT4 to campaign in the GT4 class, with FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) drivers Agusto Farfus, Jorg Muller and Andy Priaulx joining two journalists from German magazine Sport Auto.

The M3 GT4, which benefits from all the race-ready hardware you'd expect in a vehicle prepped for a 24-hour enduro, made its debut at last weekend's ADAC Westfalenfahrt at the 'Ring, taking the win in the SP10 class and finishing 30th overall. The M3 will be back at the Nordschleife for the 24 hour race the weekend of May 23 and 24.

Jon Sibal post on car. (http://jonsibal.com/blog/?p=2506)

The BMW M3 GT4 will be racing in the 24-hour of Nurburgring this coming May. Müller and Priaulx will be behind the wheel of the BMW M3 GT4 when they race for Schubert Motorsport in the Eifel region. Ahh it’ll be interesting to see how well this car holds up in this legendary endurance race.

114 CLASS VICTORIES...LOL...WOW.

I love this race, I remember live feed last year right? Radio Le Mans does cover it I believe?

Yup, RL does the audio.

Also, the race is run by ADAC which is Germany's AAA and had the live stream going for the entire race and i'm sure a stream will be up this year too.

Only downer is the camera people dont film in the forrest after 11:00PM and not until 8:00AM so it all stays in the pits during the night.

My favorite win for BMW was 1998 when they won with a diesel. Today, its common place but that was the first diesel win in international competition.
