I'm new to IA and decided to finally sign up instead of just lurking. I know nothing of the import scene and am just interested in learning about the import cars and about the meets around Atlanta. I am currently drive a domestic but have no problems hanging around the import guys! I love all makes and models even if they aren't domestic!

It's a Badly Beaten 1983 Fox Hatchback (The Shitbox). Lightly built N/A 351W H/C/I all of the usual Mustang Crap. Nothing Special, just ugly as sin.

I have no idea what it's putting down, I haven't hit the Dyno or the strip yet. I do plan on booking some Dyno time at Allspeed in the next few weeks as it feels like it's leaning out at high RPM's. The second thing I need to do is buy a decent hood for it. The 351 will not clear a stock hood on a Fox Body but i'm too damn cheap to spend the cash and get a decent Cowl hood. Like I said it looks like crap mostly due to the air cleaner sticking out of a hole I cut in the hood for clearance. Secondly it looks like crap due to the clear coat peeling off.

You guys know of any meets? Preferably one that I (domestic:D ) wouldn't catch too much harrassment? Not that my car is pretty, but just to hang out and B.S.

We'll have to figure out something then. I rolled through the Carmike parking lot the night of the F&F came out a couple of weeks ago, but no one seemed interested in B.S.ing. I think the sheer uglyness factor of the "Shitbox" scared everyone away. It's like the F'n plague.

This is how it sits right now. Off color front bumper, off color hood, Gigantic hole in hood so stupid air cleaner fits. Hence the "Shitbox" Once you get into the interior it gets worse.

Basically all of the money went into the engine. 0 of it has been spent on looks. Unless you count the $15 for paint on the front bumper. Besides the engine (heads, cam, flat-top pistons, machined stock crank and rods, balanced), radiator and wheels i've spent $50 or less for every part, trans and rearend included. It's the ultimate junkyard dog. Hell I bought the car (Orig 4 cyl) and drove it home for $400 (with 4 cyl eng)
