I'm getting a ME degree now, so that should tell you something. With Econ, unless you want to go to grad school and teach, pursue an Economic research position, or go to law school, I wasn't very pleased with the options.

I ended up working for 4 and half years at an Atlanta tire retailer, then I was talked into making a move and working for one of my ex-fiance's Father's companies. I finally realized that I wasn't going to get anywhere without going back to school and getting the education that I should have gotten the first time I was in college.

just wondering what makes you want to go into the law program? their law school is quite expensive to go to law school then off to the military. i dont know if the military will pay that back off or not but if they do go for it. UGA Law is tough to get into. I was just wondering because its interesting to go from trying to be a pilot to law, just seems like 2 totally different areas.

Wasn't there some news on Lockheed recently? Something about if government stops production of a certain plan that the Marietta plant would be cut down significantly... (I think thats what I remember reading briefly)

Would be awesome if you did get in with Lockheed though. Good luck to ya.

I'm attending Devry University Online and working on my Associates for Web Design and Development. Got my first Associates in Computer Animation... will probably continue on with the CIS program but we'll see if I can find me a job first.

Law school is actually ALOT cheaper than becoming a pilot although becoming a pilot is a lot easier. Also it is highly recommended by a lot of current pilots(civilian) to have a degree not concentrated in the aviation industry. Yes UGA is tough to get into but they also have a good ranked law program which would be a plus if I decide not to do the military after I graduate.

F22 production is done, but they agreed to up production of the Joint Strike Fighters. If they didn't up the production, there woud be tons of job losses at LM.

How much is pilot school cause dang law school is already 30k a year easily. So you are coming out 90k in debt at least without books, housing, food etc.

They want to cut planes from the F22 program but the current run should last through 2011 I have been told. The job I was offered would be in the C-130J program which had orders backlogged until at least 2020 with the current manning and until 2015 if the f-22 is dropped.

Would be awesome if you did get in with Lockheed though. Good luck to ya.

I appreciate it. I actually just called them to check up on my background check for a follow up interview and skills check.

I understand, what your saying about pilot school is pretty interesting. Good luck with it.. I was pursuing law school until a few weeks ago when I decided it was probably not the best choice right now with the economy and the competitive nature of law school/ jobs for law school. I was already accepted but was undecided on which school but now I am pursuing other things. I also didn't score as high on the LSAT as I would have hoped so I may also study for the year on my free time to retake the test.

I have a Bachelors in Political Science and Masters in Public Administration.

I was looking into Real Estate Law, international business law, or sports law. I am just deciding to work atleast a year and reexamine where I said and if I still really want to go. My sister is in law school right now and just told me to make sure its what I wanted to do so that I wouldn't waste my money. I also have talked to alot of previous professors and lawyers about law school and they say there alot of people with JDs will not make it into the law field doing what they want because of their grades or school. So with that in mind I am trying to get connected with lawyers and schools to discuss potentially working for them.

Ideally I want to go into Sports law and work as a sports agent. I also have alot of desires to teach at the collegiate level. I have done alot of research with teachers so I have a great standing with my college. So the potential of working for them is very high.

One day I would like to work for FEMA, but I need more experience in other sectors/divisons of the field, I have my A.A.S from central georgia technical college already. I had a interview at the Medical Center of Central Georgia Monday. If everything goes well I will have my start there as a Ems Communications Specialist.
