I bought two new pistols, a Glock 23 and a Glock 29sf. The 29sf is going to be my carry weapon once i get my GFL. I had to order the 29sf and it will be here tomorrow, but i got the 23 already and here's a little picture. I got a blackhawk holster and some cheap range ammo for the 23. The 29sf got some hornady hollow points.

You dont have to have a GFL to carry a pistol. Read the sticky at the top of the forum and it should give you a better idea of what you can and cannot do with and without a gfl

I love my G23, congrats on the purchase. I also have the same holster, it is nice for a secure carry, but it can be a pain in the ass to draw quickly.

i wish someone local wanted to go to the range today. no work or school and i want to break in the 23; but i like having someone to socialize with while im there.

How do you like the 27? I am looking for something smaller for summer carry, but I am a little worried about such a small frame with the recoil.

Great carry gun, and very shootable. It is not something i would want to run hard for days on end (or even hours on end), but then again thats not what a gun that size is meant for. Recoil is manageable, but more importantly i find follow ups pretty easy for its small size.

not bad. i like the size of the 23

I guess I am going to have to try shooting it myself. WWT also had a small framed Taurus for a nice price that I may look at. That one is a .45 though.

I'll have to let you know. I dropped most of my spare cash into a stock hunch so we will see how it goes.

I'm pretty sure blackhawk does make one... Check if they make one for the 30. It is the exact same size.

forbus sucks ass. Blackhawk is better. Neither are great. what is the purpose/duty of the holster?

daily carry. i dont want it tucked inside my pants though, i prefer the gun on the outside on my pants. i like my blackhawk for the 23 pretty well.

Be interesting to see how you feel about inside holster in a few months. I have a 23 and used the same holster you have for a yr and half. Great holster but i always felt like it stuck out too much and didnt like to carry when i wore a t-shirt for that reason.

I got a inside the pants holster and I feel a lot better about it cause it doesn't show as easy.

GL with the range.

it's lortab actually and i agree if you are not used to the meds don't do it, i have to take stronger meds than that daily, oxycodone 15mgs and shoot just fine but i have had a bum neck for 5 years. good advice on that one b/c it could get ugly quick.

BTW good choice on the 23 i just bought one a month ago and love the thing. i have put abt 350rds through it since i bought it and i cannot compalin. i'm actually getting pretty good at being accurate while rapid firing a mag(at first i was all over the place) but now im more steady in the middle.

the 29 is a subcompact, so it doesnt stick out too bad. i have a fobus holster for it and its alright. i may try and inside holster sometime though.

ill post some pics of two of the targets i kept. i really like the 10mm, and i was more accurate with it as well. i had 1 jam with the .40, a casing didnt eject all the way and got caught as the slide came back forward; other than that though, all was well.
