... is... amazing... Seriously.
Probably not for everyone, but if you're into the heavier beats/Indian sound, check it out. Definitely worth the hard drive space.
Some of my faves...
Jai Ho: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z32SCbI4dNU&feature=PlayList&p=FCE63E56C4D98A50&index=0&playnext=1
>> Pussycat Dolls did a remix of this, but I think the movie version is better.
Aaj Ki Raat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFMe4y9K_Fc
Paper Planes (DFA mix): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwdnwsg-Ow0
>> MIA handles 2 (well, technically 3) songs on the soundtrack. One is the original version of Paper Planes. Then this remix, which I love for it's 70's awesome fun-ness. The other one she does is...
O... Saya: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHUQht1HRmY
>>Which is tied with Jai Ho for my favorite. Love the kinda cool world beat feel.
Gangsta Blues: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgeUURp6gOs&feature=related
>> Again with the kind of 70s spy feel or something.
An awesome movie, and an awesome soundtrack. A.R. Rahman is the mastermind behind it. Apparently he's popular pretty much everywhere but the US. With any luck, the popularity of the movie will change that lol.
Enjoy!
