what would be the best way to pull some power from this car? engine swap? build the 22re? any ideas.

I've seen MGE swaps that seem to work out good. I wouldn't recommend building a 22RE (I have a built 22RE). It's a great engine if you want to get up to 200 hp. It's fun to drive, but only in its class. Also I've heard tail of this guy at celica-gts.com swapping a 2J in his. That had to be a beast and 1 hell of a sleeper.
