If you are feeling a little short on your weekly dose of liberalism, or want a cool place to grab a pitcher, check out Manny's in the highlands. They have great food, cheap beer, what's not to like? A den of characters and locals and liberals and sometimes crazy people. They hosted the political debates back in november and not a single person was a McCain supporter. What do you expect- it's in the Highlands. Staff is friendly. Not a good place to go to pick up women but I hate the club atmosphere anyway. Bring some friends. Unlike most bars, it's not overly loud and you can actually get service in a reasonable amount of time even when it's crowded.
It's on North Highland. I love this place but sadly don't get to go very often since I moved out of the area. Check it out. They also have their own beer on draft and it's very good.
