BUT ANYWAY... whats the deal with this conficker worm shit and does anyone else thinks its bogus or for real or what....:thinking:

i was watching the news earlier an saw something about this. appearantly its a worm of sorts that lays in slumber until midnight tonight then it starts running your cpu for banking info ect. i guess it came through some sort of microsoft update. thats what i gathered from fox news earlier

The Microsoft update is supposed to prevent you getting the worm.

fox5 said if you can go to the microsoft update page and download the newest update you should be fine, if you cannot access certain security websites, or if you have certain issues with jump drives you may have a problem. theres a wiki all about it if you're worried.

Yep, the conficker worm actually blocks windows updates from what I understand.

Agreed and there have been a few variations of it since then but like I said every year around April Fools it's something new. Oh well Microsoft FTW :lmfao:

The only realistic reason MACs are more secure is because far fewer hackers worry about MACs. There are FAR more people using windows so there is more profit/destruction/whatever that can be done through windows.
